Physical media For The Win again… My sci-fi favourites are just not readily available via streaming. And charity shop visits have paid off recently. 😊 PS. Yes, I know there are now Blu-ray STNG around, but my eyes can’t tell the difference from DVD, so…!

Yay for stereo! (iPhone Ultra) I know, I know, we’re still a week away from launch, but after the Samsung Z Fold 8 speaker facepalm (both speakers on the left screen), I am happy to report that the imminent folding iPhone will have speakers top left and bottom right (Surface Duo 2 style)...

There’s a huge flaw in the Apple Watch ecosystem, in that they have all these wonderful sports represented, but not dog walking. When you’ve been dog walking for an hour pulling on the lead and being pulled by the lead in and out of muddy puddles in the rain…

An exercise in Clean-Up The hotel in Sonning, cross crossed in reality with phone wiring across the road, as you can see if you go there! But here shown after multiple strokes in Apple Photo’s Clean Up tool. Very impressed. Is it as good as Samsung’s or Google’s Magic Eraser tools? Debatable. Still…

Ha. Microsoft blinked. Bet they do again next year too… So the deadline for half a billion Windows 10 users was approaching. And Microsoft gave in. As they had to. Users just need to dive into Settings and ‘Enrol’ in Extended Security Updates etc. All free.

My iPhone 14 Pro Max 1TB has a new battery and is three years old. The time seems right to live more riskily and go case-less for the foreseeable future. Feels so much smaller and futuristic. But I’m not leaving it totally defenceless - loving my favourite @xtremeskins.bsky.social skin!
