When we can offer our citizens definite quality-of-life enhancements like this (without class designation), we are committing to trying to be a world class city. Lots of work to do with affordable housing. But less libraries isn’t it.

Affordable housing at the expense of lower income families that NEED a library is losing the entire plot. Affordable housing needs to come from regulating the non stop sprawl of development, not from removing services like libraries.

I’d say “new” is benefitting many, from my experiences there. There are so many city-owned parkades and “some” under-used facilities that make including libraries in our push for affordable housing blame simply counter productive. Why not tear down some food banks, too?
