Wishing the best for your dad! Immunotherapy treatments were a game changer for my wife's cancer. Without it the prognosis for what she had was grim. Now it's not, and she had a full, complete response and is now almost 3 years clear. Amazing indeed.

A real treat. Yesterday I got a new unique AI experience. Moments after word from mgmt re: the company's US federal clients that WE can still call it AI because the executive order just says THEY have to call it SI, I saw trump's new post calling AI sayers "THE ENEMY!". Great world we've got here.

I haven't played or watched Fall Out, but I always enjoyed the few Marty Robbins songs that I knew. Now I have a bunch more that it turns out I also enjoy. Love me a good story song and that's definitely his bread & butter.

Yup. Laine is good at exactly 1 thing. Mind you he's so good at it that everyone knows exactly what it is yet he still pulls it off. But anything that requires him to skate he can't do at anywhere near an NHL level anymore. Too competitive a league to carry an entirely 1 dimensional player.

Well that's a new one. What a bummer! I once had a flight delayed because they couldn't get the stairs attached to the plane. That particular flight had a good 4-5hrs of delays, each an hour at a time for different things. Eventually we flew, and I got to sit next to a VERY drunk seatmate.

I hope so, because things sure got ugly on Saturday night, especially that 2nd period. Even Marty said they didn't deserve 2pts and as usual, he was right. Gotta fix that fast. (Also I somehow forgot the word EARLY in my previous post, which should have said "early season rust")

I suspect that'd play a big part in the discombobulation situation, along with general season rust after a short pre-season period. I can't imagine their play off the puck will be THAT bad for long, but if so it's gonna be an interesting season.

A reasonable take. But a lot of their talent is very young & at the rapid improvement period of their careers, so I have high hopes there. Goaltending will go a long way to determining their fate. A lot of Monty badness last year. Assuming decent goaltending all year, I see more points.

So an even better regular season + a playoffs where even if they don't equal last year they at least have a strong showing, that's my expectation. Definitely the highest hopes I've ever had going into a Habs season. We'll see!

I expect at least a series win. I *hope* to at least match last year, but gotta be realistic. But progress isn't a straight line & they're still a very young team. A lot needs to go right to go deep. 9 shots in game 7 (0 in the 2nd period!) isn't a sustainable way to win. Gotta find another way.

So I'm expecting 110+. Especially considering last year featured a LONG stretch of Monty sucking. Playoff run? Who knows! I just hoped they'd make the playoffs last year & they sure surpassed that. Do I expect a repeat? Not really. Getting out of the Atlantic is tough, twice in a row even tougher.

Thinking out loud on the Habs season Unexpected 106pts last year + unexpected deep playoff run. Now we have expectations! Last year was, hopefully, just the start of the upward trajectory. Going from 82 to 84 game season, that means 109pts this year would be roughly equivalent to last year.
