Capital always out works labor. The people who benefit from that fact don’t want you to know it. In fact they want to make sure you derive your self worth from labor then convince you to spend what you do earn on consumption because “you deserve it.” It keeps you broke and them wealthy.

I think about this all the time. The avg car payment in the US is ~$800/month. Over 13 years that money compounded annually at 8% is ~$206k. The truth that tells is most parents say they’d die for their kids but most of them won’t drive a beater to pay for their college education. Actions > Words

Best talk I saw at KCDC this year was about ShapeUp: basecamp.com/shapeup I read the book a year or so ago, but was awesome to hear about how someone else uses it in their team. This approach to project management especially in software makes way more sense to me compared to traditional approaches.
