Back on my space chicken bullshit.

Tom got me this incredible @roguehobbies.bsky.social Goblin Knight for Christmas, and I love him. The level of detail on this wee guy is incredible, but also mildly terrifying. If anyone needs me, I'll be painting practice Warhammers for the next while so that I can do him justice.

Today I met Holoptychius, my new favourite fish from a time before thoughts. He's no Sacabambaspis, but he's trying his best.

And So I Watch You From Afar. Immense, joyous noise in a tiny, sweaty basement. Shout out to the brave souls attempting to crowdsurf under the Hug's low, sticky ceiling. 🫡

The band are playing a quiet bit, and the audience are all crouching down for reasons I don't understand. Is this what the kids do at gigs these days? Anyway, it looks like something culty's going on.

Stranded on Arran for an extra day because it's too windy to run the ferry. It's not all bad, though.

Good news: I've started working on the No Man's Guy again, and finally got the jetpack to print! (It's the wrong way round, but after 5 attempts I'll take it) Bad news: I now have to figure out how to make the lights a) work, and b) fit inside. Thoughts and prayers are appreciated at this time.

...in the meantime, I'm using some cheapo polar fleece to draft a pattern. Jim Henson was a big guy with massive mitts, so the biggest challenge is going to be scaling my Kermit down to fit my puny wee hands. That's going to take some trial and error.

I'm dyeing nylon fleece to make a replica Kermit puppet. My dye pot wasn't big enough to get all of it in, so I thought I'd cut it in half and do it in batches. Same dye, it'll turn out the same colour, right? No. No it did not.

This year's Christmas present to myself was finally finishing the jumper I started knitting back in September. The 'grain' pattern around the yoke was such a massive pain in the arse at the time, but look how pretty!
