I fail to see how staff and customers are going to challenge someone's right to be in a room based on their gender without either (a) treating trans women as women and letting them use the room, or (b) treating trans women as men, which presumably would require exactly such a check. 1/2

I think the point of the original post is that the predatory men are the issue, not whether or not trans women identify as women. As for spotting the difference between predators and non-predators, well...you can't, really, regardless of how much anti-trans legislation is passed.
