I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation. I will not be silenced.

This is such a great example of how 2 VERY similar shots can exude VERY different feelings. The scenario my mind instantly makes up about Mamdani's tone and subject matter varies wildly in these 2 pictures. Photography is art. Thanks for sharing

Oz is technically right on the price, but it's kind of like saying "Gas is less than $1.00 per pint in most of the country right now"

So true, and unfortunately not exclusive to the South. I remember growing up and riding the bus to school. We would drive by this beautiful house with immaculate landscaping and one unique decoration at the end of the driveway. An old toilet with the Chevy logo spray painted on the tank

This dude managed to fit both feet in his mouth. Apparently using precise language (equivocate) is weak, but using whole cloth misrepresentation (Free Palestine means killing Jews?) is just fine.

The more I read that thread the less it says. No push for ANY environmental regulation on data centers in our district. No push for ANY accountability for the corporations pushing the AI (just don't lie to us about "safety practices", please) Weak

First you walk back support for Medicare for All, now this? C'mon, man. Reporting "critical incidents"? The same "independent reviews" that the CEOs of these data centers want? Stand for something, Manny. AI Firms to be liable for any damage caused by the use of that AI. That'll do it

I don't know if it's a better idea to argue Trek lore or particle physics with CP-W. All I know is you are not likely to fare well. Anyway buy this fantastic book (I'm only 50 pages in) tinyurl.com/EdgeOfSpaceT...

Funny thing, I couldn't remember Imus' name. I knew it wasn't Howard Stern, but I completely forgot dude's name. Guess he died in 2019. I do remember the language though, and I remember the "controversy" about whether to fire him. I think Bill Mahr (who woulda thought!) was big on no consequences.

It is unsettling how surprising this is to me. I've become so accustomed to all monied interests getting away without consequences. Kudos Mr. Silver

I don't know, man. It almost seems worse than this to me. Before the tattoo and other red flags the establishment Dems HATED Platner. Hated the lefty/socialist ideas. Recruited and backed Mills to thwart him. It wasn't UNTIL the tattoo that he was an acceptable candidate to that group. Gross

I absolutely love that this exists! I talked with my 1st grader today, and he wants to see if we can get his class/teacher to sign up and participate. I was wondering if @skypeascientist.bsky.social has an info page my kiddo could print and bring to school? Maybe I'll print the pinned post

I heard bluesky launched video upgrades this week?? Let’s talk about how sometimes being a scientist is observing something you can’t explain, trying to figure out what the heck is going on, then still having no idea what’s going on, and just enjoying the process of learning as you go.

Doing that would be antithetical to the entire system of capitalism. This is why we MUST separate benefits from employment. Those big corporations are not our caretakers, they are profit seeking entities. Healthcare should be provided by the state. Food assistance should be provided by the state

We all think wages should be higher. Consider this example of 2 people performing the same job: Employee A: Single person Employee B: Single parent of 5 Should the corporation pay employee B 3x the wages of Employee A to meet their needs while they perform the same job? Of course not.

I absolutely love this. The engineering kicking into high gear for the littles. I love the out loud thinking on this thread. When my little one was at the age where carrying him around for bedtime was the norm I was pretty sure I needed to install and omnidirectional treadmill system in the house

I think those are both where I land as well. When I was young, I loved the daylight lasting until 9pm during the summer. Now I just don't want my kid to have to go to school in the dark.

What we know The culprit is a microscopic parasite called Cyclospora, spreads through food or water contaminated with human feces. This parasite lives in the human gut and is shed in stool as a tough, thick-walled shell. This is why it survives on produce and resists rinsing and typical sanitizers.

I've nearly perfected my veil of ignorance when watching these games. This broke it. I don't think I can "just watch the games" this tourney. Bah.

Usually I'm able to shut out the reality of where things are when I tune into sporting events. I'm a soccer fan once every 4 years. I love watching the games. I love watching the different looks and styles each team brings. Then this blatant corruption of suspending Balogun's red.

This early version of the painting may disagree with you on the jacket.
Early version of Norman Rockwell's "Freedom of Speech" painting. Includes a man wearing a blue shirt (with a zipper) and brown jacket (also with a zipper!) holding his black hat and some papers in his right hand. The man is standing at a town hall to speak.

Today it's the tomato sandwich. Cut up the amount of tomatoes necessary to make a ~ 1/2 thick slab on the sandy. Salt and pepper tomatoes then get out the bread. Apply liberal coat of mayo on both slices of bread (I prefer untoasted after much testing) Add pepper to bread. Add the tomatoes. Enjoy

Ha! I've done that with a carton of milk. When I realized a few hours later I knew the milk was past the point of rescue. Then the question became "How long can I let that sit in the car before true disaster sets in" It was fine the next morning.

As a Nuggets fan I can say I was exhausted just watching Mal try to handle Jaden. Jaden has incredible body control for a man with such length. He NEVER gets caught with his hand in the cookie jar - and his hand is ALWAYS in the cookie jar. Respect to this Minny team

I didn't believe this was real. The president is threatening to end the lives of 90 million people. Kill 90 million human beings. Whether he plans to do this with one big bomb or to do this by destroying power, food, health care access is besides the point. Pay attention.

Brings up one of my least favorite facts about how we are not an advanced society. We dumped all the raw sewage from New York City into the Hudson until 1986. Just 40 years ago we were not treating sewage in New York.

I noticed something similar at our rally. My sign was "Cuba Libre" on one side and "Free Palestine" on the other. Very positive responses when the cars saw the Cuba side; thousand yard stares when the green, red, white, and black was seen.

one of the earliest lessons in politics I learned as a kid from my parents was to always vote for a tax increase, because you're trading a dollar amount so small you probably won't notice in order to fund something important that benefits everybody. I wish that was how Democrats messaged this stuff!
