John Fowles: The Magus - first published sixty years ago in 1966. Does anyone still read it?

I've been photographing Pakefield beach six years plus. It’s a place that's changing. I want to publish my photo record of the beach for posterity. Waterland Books is a small independent press, specialising in East Anglian subjects. I’m raising funds for design and printing gofund.me/0c3d5b860

I'm really pleased with Cam Self's latest work for Waterland Films, 'A Fenland Journey', a twenty minute film of me making a personal journey through the Fens. Hopefully something of interest. The whole thing is on youtube in High Definition: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlRT...

Gus Wylie 1935 - 2026, best known for his work in the Hebrides, was from Lowestoft. At Royal College of Art 1959, he made photo essay of the demise of the Lowestoft fish market. He later made a sketchbook of East Anglian photos. His photos described as "thoughtful, caring, compassionate images".

Hawthorn likes to do it the other way round - leaves first, blossom second.

This blossom on this small blackthorn bush burst into life last week - intense white against stark black twigs and thorns, the leaves yet to appear - now it’s beginning to fade.

Daisy (the cat) came to live on the Suffolk coast seven years ago. Before that she had been living on the streets of Downham Market. She never talks about her past life, but one gets the impression it was a hard life, and that she’s happy now to be living in Suffolk.
