Everything sucks but I have a new fountain pen!!

On a background of an eggplant colored dress with white polka dots, a light green pen in the stereotypical "glow in the dark" green color. It's a small fountain pen, "pocket pen" style, with a bronze clip, and it says "Kaweco DIY Sport," because it's this year's DIY pen that you can only get by going to whichever store has the diy setup at that moment and assembling it yourself.

Oh uh update I have splints for both thumbs for the next 6-8 weeks. It's kinda hard to do things, but I've figured out how to open the dog's peanut butter jar, and that's all I need to do, right? (That's just the right--the left is neon green so I don't try to put them on the wrong hands.)

The hand of a white woman (me) in a purple plastic thumb splint, making a pinchy shape to indicate where the thumb is being held. It's kept together with neon pink Velcro. Background is a gray blanket mostly.

A smaller version of the splint that only keeps the top joint of my thumb held straight. It's still purple, but it's held on with three strips of white Velcro. You can kinda see my ice blue nail polish. Background is the same.

My mom listened to classical music, Broadway recordings, and big-voiced singers like Celine Dion, Barbra, and Ella. My dad likes everything from jazz to Madonna, with an emphasis on guitarists. (He was very excited the other day about getting to see Santana touring with the Doobie Brothers.)
