MAX was marketed as Russia’s ‘sovereign’ alternative to foreign apps and integrated into an increasingly state-controlled digital ecosystem. Now, its own AI warns about weak privacy protections and recommends Signal, Telegram or WhatsApp for sensitive conversations. Even MAX doesn’t trust MAX.

I'm still grappling with what is unfolding in Seoul tonight, but I would agree with this assessment that this should likely be spelling the end to Yoon's presidency one way or another, the open question being the degree of violence between now and then.
