@cbclarsen.bsky.social Thank you for clarifying in a recent This Is Vancouver podcast that it is not solely competitive swimmers who are angry about the VAC 50m pool fiasco. There’s a very large group of recreational swimmers in Vancouver who prefer 50m. This isn’t a niche issue.

I wouldn’t say I’m doing it to punish Eby for calling an election, but rather as a rebuke to his policy record: legalizing vehicular manslaughter, wish-washy stance on DRIPA, cancelling seniors housing, lack of supports for people entrenched in toxic drug crisis, and inability to do basic math.

The first day to order mail-in is September 8th. BUT they don’t start mailing them out until September 29th. We leave early morning on October 2nd. The 30th is a holiday. We have a strategy, but it’s tight.

I also dislike my gray hair. My stylist pointed out that the texture of your gray hair isn’t usually the same as your other hair, so it can be hard to deal with. But colouring it is a way to control it. Also makes it shinier.

I was diagnosed with the precursor to MS in my early 30s…it never developed into actual MS. But the spectre of it is still there. Hope is a good mindset. When you’re in the MS clinic and seeing how it progresses…it’s hard. I see that you have an appt. w/ a specialist so wait to see what they say.

I was told was that an MS diagnosis requires a Clinically Isolated Syndrome. Make sure you have strong evidence for a diagnosis BEFORE you go down the rabbit hole of reading about how hard MS is. My concern is that someone reading an MRI was casting about for an explanation for what they saw.

I saw a fare inspection when I was there. It was tense. The fine is steep. The inspectors are plain-clothed and I believe they don’t show their identifying badges until they have to.
