Bonus clip of a moving platform spinning from the time I accidentally applied a coin spin to every object in the level.

A friend and me are working together messing with #Godot and I'm having a lot of fun. Experimenting with a 3D platforming system / level maker. Still very early, but I imported a level someone made for Mario Builder 64 and I've been having a blast just jumping around with my janky little 3d capsule.
A screenshot of a work-in-progress level editor for a 3D platforming game. There's a toolbar across the top to select different block types, a camera button, undo and redo, settings, and a Play button. The map itself appears to be a farm done in very blocky retro graphics.A screenshot of work-in-progress gameplay from a 3D platforming game, with a character represented by a simple 3d capsule shape standing on a platform in a blocky, retro environment.

In case any @frankerfacez.com are wondering why it's broken in @firefox.com and has been for eight days now, it's because we're still waiting for Firefox to approve the update. And, after eight days, we finally got... this. Firefox users, please ensure you're using our user-script and not the addon
A rejection notice for FrankerFaceZ's Firefox add-on with a template-based rejection message reading:
- Sources, specifically Testing information required: Please provide us with detailed information on how to test this add-on. If authentication to a website is necessary, give us a test username and password to facilitate our work. This can be provided in the Whiteboard field, which can be found in the Edit Listing page under the Technical Details section. This information is only available to reviewers.

- Development, specifically Not functioning as described: Your add-on does not function as described. Please either update the description to match the add-on's functionality or submit a new version that functions as per the description.

A meme of a cat looking down. It's captioned:
> Solo Leveling game
> look inside
> 4 player co-op

Been reading over that Epic v. Apple thing people have been talking about, and this part caught my attention. Just in a "What the fuck is Apple smoking, have they even looked at Steam before?" kind of way. Steamworks has so many features for developers. Everything a gaming platform should have.
An excerpt from page 20 of the Epic v Apple contempt order, with the following statement highlighted:

Apple personnel noted, for example, “Steam charges 20-30%, but does not offer platform services”

My favorite part of the whole Firefox situation is this one anonymous user who keeps leaving 1 star reviews claiming we keep deleting their reviews. We don't even have the option to delete reviews. Idiot keeps violating the rules and Mozilla staff is nuking them (as far as I can tell.)
A review stating "They delete negative reviews. Trash developers."A review stating "It's awful and 3 times they have removed my negative review. The positive reviews are fake. How is a developer allowed to delete negative reviews??"A review stating: It literally does nothing, people defending it are insane. How can you give it a positive review if it LITERALLY HAS NO FUNCTIONAILTY. Like it actually does nothing. You are lying if you give anything more than 1 star. They also delete all negative reviews which means the positive reviews are likely fake.

Thanks, Chrome. Exactly what I wanted. No effective ad blockers and AI garbage everywhere in dev tools with no options to disable it.
A screenshot of the Chrome Developer Tools, open to the Elements tab. The user has right-clicked on an element, and the very first entry at the top of the context menu reads "Ask AI".

A screenshot of the Mozilla developer website, with a message that "Due to the holidays, responses from reviewers may be delayed."A meme featuring a man with short hair wearing a baseball hat. He has a flat expression and his hands pressed together and positioned vertically, with the tip of his fingers just barely under his nose. He appears to be staring at something out of frame in the direction of the camera, and the text "*CONCERN*" is at the top of the image in bold letters.

Here's a couple screenshots of the same stream with different experiment options. The video is ever so slightly larger with the old layout.

I was talking to a friend about old PC cases today, and it reminded me how much I miss the Corsair Vengeance C70. Just look at this majestic thing. ...okay so it was not that great, but the sides were easy to remove. And it had handles. Handles! Modern cases need handles. Give me handles. Please.
An image of an old Corsair Vengeance C70 PC case. The case is a dull olive green and has a military ammo crate aesthetic. It has a window in the side panel, and the side panel is held on by large clips at the top. The front of the case has an air intake grate at the bottom, with three drive bays above that, and a small panel at the top with a power switch, headphone jack, microphone jack, two USB ports, and a reset switch. The top of the case has more fan grates and a pair of fold out handles.A close up of the top of the case, which more clearly shows the handles.

Meanwhile on that other dumbass website, a different dumbass website is happy to announce that they're using AI to generate global emotes now. Because paying a real person to photoshop a Santa hat onto an actual cat, a task that would take like five minutes, is too hard I guess. Fuck off, Twitch.
An image of a post on Twitter by the official account of the Twitch streaming service. The post features an image of a new global emote depicting an orange cat wearing a santa hat. It seems fairly obvious that the image is AI generated. The message they posted reads:

If you thought the Holiday Hoopla was over, think again.

‘Tis the season for coming together like never before because Shared Chat now includes shared viewership. Get combined view count, boosted discoverability, and from Dec 6-13 a festive new emote named (jinglebells please)…Cat in the Chat.

To unlock, stream with the tag holidayhoopla in a Shared Chat session for 15+ minutes.

A four panel comic of a man winning a medal and celebrating, with it revealed in the last panel that he didn't get first place. This was edited to remove two panels that normally exist in the comic and to place Chrism's head on the man.

Thank heavens John Patrick is here to help me get 1,000 more users on my *checks notes* beta version extension of my actual extension with over a million users.
A screenshot of an email from someone allegedly named Patrick John offering to help me get more users for my browser extension. It reads:

Hello

I hope this mail finds you well.
I've helped extensions on the Chrome web store get up to 1000 new users every month with a good amount of positive feedback for their extensions.
all from real people, not BOT.
When can we set up a 10-minute call to discuss via email or a Google Meet call the success of your extension(FrankerFaceZ Nightly) on the Chrome web store?A screenshot of the Chrome Web Store page for the extension FrankerFaceZ Nightly, showing that the extension has 2,000 users.A screenshot of the Chrome Web Store page for the extension FrankerFaceZ, showing that the extension has 1,000,000+ users.

Bluesky be like
A meme featuring a very strong and buff Spongebob Squarepants versus a round and soft Spongebob. The strong one is labelled with "Feeds, Content Labels, Performance, Blocking, Moderation Tools, Philosophy, Open-Source Software" and the weak one is labelled with "Notification Settings". The meme is implying that Bluesky has many strong points such as feeds, content labels, etc. but that its notification settings are weak.

I hate buying some kinds of electronics. > 50W Cigarette Lighter USB Charger! > look inside > 30W Max + 20W Max on two separate ports
A close up image of a cat's face with the cat looking directly towards the camera. The image is frames so that it appears the cat is looking down, or perhaps, inside something. This is the image from the "cat looks inside" meme.

Forgive me a moment of politics, but Michigan is doing great. Just went to vote. Since we have a week (minimum) of early in-person voting, it was a very relaxed experience. No big line or waiting. The place wasn't packed. Not only that, but I got the best "I Voted" sticker of all time.
My hand holding a circular sticker. The sticker has a black background and depicts a werewolf wearing a blue shirt and brown pants looking up and howling while tearing off his shirt. The werewolf stands in front of a United States flag, and the words "I Voted" are written at the top of the sticker in red, white, and blue.

This also greatly simplifies the process of deploying updates. Pretty much just one command to wrangler and it's done. I added a feature tonight to check for the Grabify IP logging URL shortener, and writing it *and* deploying it to everyone took like ten minutes. It's great.
An image of a FrankerFaceZ link preview card. The image shows the Visited URLs for a link that had been shortened using the Grabify URL shortener, and each of three URLs are flagged as "shortened" and "ip-logger", with "ip-logger" highlighted in red to draw attention to a problem.

A benefit of Bluesky still being fairly barebones is that it took me very little time to implement a resolver for FrankerFaceZ's link service. The biggest delay was just trying to figure out how to access a post starting with a URL. The AT protocol documentation could use some work and examples.
