What's also disturbing is that scientists are being targeted, and on such a scale that it's clear backgrounds are being investigated all across the US. What serious govt has the TIME to do all this prying into individuals' background?

If the U.S. government is going to take the position that, once removed from the United States, folks can’t be brought back, then it sure seems to me that federal courts should be reflexively and categorically barring *all* removals until they’re 100 percent certain that the removals are lawful.

Did you know? The word “trumpery” appeared in the 15th century with the meanings “deceit” or “fraud”. 100 years later, it was being applied to objects of little or no value. Then in the 1900’s, it came to mean “showy but worthless”. — Today, it is equated with “fascist shit”.

1/2 I denounce Brad Bondi, candidate for DC Bar president & the brother of Trump Attorney General Pam Bondi, as ideologically unsound for donating $100,000 to the University of Florida Levin College of Law "to create and permanently endow a Bradley J. Bondi Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship Fund."
Florida Bar News, December 3, 2021, Bondi endows diversity and inclusion scholarship at UF Law, Florida Bar member Brad Bondi committed $100,000 to the University of Florida Levin College of Law to create and permanently endow a Bradley J. Bondi Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship Fund at the law school.

Bondi has been working with school leaders for the past year to support initiatives focused on diversity and inclusion.

“Brad’s generous gift will allow us to continue to offer competitive scholarships for the most talented new students and further our goals for increasing the diversity of our incoming class,” said UF Law Dean Laura Rosenbury.

Recipients of the scholarship will be new students entering UF Law who demonstrate a commitment to advancing the causes of diversity and inclusion through their past or ongoing activities. All students are eligible for the scholarships without regard to race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation and identity, national origin, age, military or veteran status, disability or any other legally protected status, and without discrimination based on socioeconomic, marital, parental or caregiving status, according to the university

“Diversity and inclusion are principles that have been important to me and my family in everything we do,” said Bondi, a partner with Cahill Gordon & Reindel in Washington and New York City

While many law firms will do pro bono work to help these people being held in El Salvador's gulag, the decision by SCOTUS shows that we are a broken country. The rule of law is over. Even if you're an American, you could end up there as a result of "an error." We live in a dictatorship.

If Trump can claim a "national emergency" to disappear legal residents without due process, what’s to stop him from doing the same to U.S. citizens who oppose him? No one is safe — not even people legally in the country, possibly not even American citizens. Fascism is here.

This way you are always harvesting young tender leaves, leaving the rest of the head to grow on. Moving to partial to almost full shade will extend the season. Also research heat tolerant, slow bolt species!

Lettuce gets bitter in hot climates as it tries to bolt (seed) and under stress. Start seeds inside and put out in very cool very early spring. Rather than waiting for an entire head to grow, harvest young leaves around the outside of each plant every other day. Move to partial shade in temps over80
