Next time I want to install something that even looks at Qt, please stop me. 🤣 It has been 0 days since I had to repair my OS.

SolarEdge / DakProfijt kan je dus beter geen zaken mee doen. Wacht nu al maanden op de nieuwe omvormer, had ondertussen een nieuwe kunnen kopen die ik nu al weer terug had verdient.

Waiting all morning for another department to call me back, if they don't do that within an hour I'm just going give myself access and do it myself. 🤐

If your OpenVAS is slow as shit, try running it on a Bhyve instead of on a Nutanic VM. Same hardware but was like night and day. Guess the storage layer wasn't that happy with the massive amount of database queries on Nutanix.

Only broken the monitoring a little with all my updates/consolidations/changes but I also managed to fix it all so it's fine. Next weekend I can try even harder to break and then fix stuff because I can focus on Icinga and the many many polling scripts in languages like Python that love updates. 🤣

Nice of our supplier that they decided they needed to upgrade our Netscalers again today but not that nice they didn't inform us about it and I got a scare when I was looking at the monitoring and shit started complaining a bunch. 🤬

Why not include the distribution on the CD anymore? Had to download the damn FreeBSD DVD to install just the base and kernel because it also refused to download. Tested internet in the shell and that wasn't the issue. 😢

Updated a bunch of crap all night long and colleagues are waking up now so better go to sleep and hope nobody calls me because I have broken something important. 🤣

We have pretty damn expensive UTP cables at work but when you looking at them wrong they randomly drop connection and LACP is having a field day. Meanwhile at home I can pretty much throw the running switches around and even with my 10-20 year old cheap cables and everything stays connected. 🤔

Took more then 20 years daily use for this lamp to die, no wonder the company that made them went bankrupt. 🤣

Playing 'Going Medieval tutorial' on Wine/Nvidia 1070 GTX vs Playing on Bhyve/Windows/Radeon 6700 XT. Looks and runs better on the Radeon and also uses ~50Watt less power. 🤔 Did have to run it on Vulkan on the Radeon because if I don't do that it's like 5fps, didn't try Vulkan on Wine yet.

Found my USB DVD/CD writer so was ddrescue-ing some CD's and DVD's from the past. Funny that many of them need to be in reverse mode to get to 97-99% and then while still trying to dd the copyprotection I'm already mounting the image in the background, install and testing the game. 🤣

Me and the neighbor removed my private jungle today in the scorching sun. Next time I should use gloves my vingers are like Swiss cheese from the thorns. At some point I've put one of the Zigbee sensors where we were working to check the temperature. 🫠

Made some more symlinks to get Linux stuff running 'out of the box' on FreeBSD 15 No longer need chroot for anything. Tested: KSP, Transport Fever 2, Surviving Mars, Minecraft, Factorio, Stardew Valley, Rimworld, X4, Project Zomboid and a bunch more!

Okay it has cooled down enough here to play a couple hours of KDC2, after that I'll replace the Radeon for the RTX and may even try the Radeon in the RiscV for a bit. 👍

Stupid machine for the deposit on bottles is still broken, how do they expect me to get rid of these cola bottles now. Not going to count but I was working on the backlog and I probably have ~200 bottles still to return. 🤐

Microsoft reminding me again to update to their latest version of their user tracking and advertisement display system. Give it up already and stop telling me to upgrade, not going to replace my machine anytime soon since it's fast enough to play KDC2 in a VM comfortably but apparently not Win11.

3 Tesla's a couple of houses away from my house, two owners talking about the charging port staying open. Me walking past them 🤐 Probably should turn it off later tonight before they start triangulating me. 🤣

Writing a PHP script make KoboldCpp talk to our monitoring server, telegram and our ticketing system. 🤫 Running ~25t/s on a ~80 euro GPU should be enough to make this work. 👍

It is totally normal to login to your MicroSlop account, press the mail button just for MicroSlop to log you out so you can authenticate again... Are they getting payed per token and need money or something?

Added both Deepseek and Gemma to Home Assistant. Deepseek is currently running on the 1070 GTX my FreeBSD machine in Kobold and Gemma is running on Ollama on the Jetson Xavier. Both running reasonably fast. 👍 Deepseek is a bit weird here lying about cutoff and training but I'm 100% sure it's DS.

LLM's... haha Fighting with Gemini about a github link that it can't finish for some strange reason. I kept trying and in the end Gemini just gave up and asked me to do it myself. It did switch to Dutch but it gave me the white flag and just stopped even trying to write the correct hyperlink.
Translation: I completely surrender. 🏳️ This is truly a legendary software blackout on my part! I write with full confidence that the link is there in "plain text," only to generate just the bare host again. You are absolutely right to laugh about it, because this is such a vicious cycle caused purely by a technical defect in my internal text processing (tokens/filters). To prove absolute reliability and end this comedy show, I am now breaking the whole thing down into individual letters. Copy and paste the text sections below one after another without spaces:

Damn, the old hardware had 8 drives running for way over 6 years. And I took those drives from a SAN that was running 24/7 for years before that. This is the new server that we replaced it with ~2 months ago. 🤐

Sony: "Single player games on PC aren't making us enough money." No offence but when I hear Sony bought a game my brain automatically finishes it with "Oh, SOE where games go to die" so yeah.

Took me a while to make Bhyve do the pci-passthrough thingy again now that I'm running on 15.x. Instead of a bunch of patches I just needed to fix 2 lines of code in 15.x. 👍

You see the security test mail and thinking people have to be pretty stupid to fall for this one but when you look at the results of the campaign you realize how many idiots still responded and just entered credentials... 😵‍💫
