An interesting thing that .NET 9 started doing is when there is a servicing release (like .NET 9.0.1) the 9.0 NuGet packages get a new version release, even if absolutely nothing changed in the package.

TL;DR: Fluent Assertions 6 becomes 7, and 7 becomes 8.... Sometimes a new major release needs time, especially if it's an open-source project that we work on in our free time. The consequence of that is that you need to keep supporting the current version for a much longer time. But in the (cont'd)
