Just a thought. At Ratho the arch of Rusacks Bridge has rope marks from when canal barges were pulled by horses. The building in the photograph was once used as the stables so it could be a suitable location for a horse statue but probably too narrow. #canals #Ratho #horse #seagulltrustcruises

The 250m long and 26m high Avon Aqueduct, built for the Union Canal near Linlithgow. Rather than using puddling clay, it has an iron trough to carry the water, allowing it to be a much more slender structure with hollow piers that used a lot less stone. - thanks to @is_glasgow on Twitter
