They should fire him tonight. Tomorrow is next-best. This is a damn catastrophe. Worse than anything Gunther Cunningham ever did.

Two weeks ago @natetice.bsky.social described Kelvin Sheppard as “emotionally blitzing” and it is the most accurate description of the most disorganized, stupid Lions defense I have ever watched.

At halftime preferably. Colorado State gave you the blueprint

Grace period’s over. These are good enough players including several long(er)-time starters in the league. Something’s gotta change and someone’s gotta go.

Unfortunately must admit that going up against punter Sam Martin is mildly traumatic. I haven’t forgotten the WORST PUNT OF ALL TIME in the Cowboys wild card game buddy!

not aimed at Chris, but “why does every college football fanbase seem miserable” after 15+ years of the sport screaming at everyone that the national championship is the only thing that matters and every G5 program should die, boy I wonder why everyone’s unhappy

Nine more that easily could've made it:

Nine additional favorite LPs. (Chronic Town is an EP.)

Fine. I will acquiesce to the Claude vibe code website. (I could have easily picked 30, these were the first 9 that came to mind...)

real quick: there IS a way to incorporate Smokies imagery into UT's existing palette, I'm opposed to doing it on principle but it CAN be done how do we know? Knoxville's USL1 team already did it:

If I were Tennessee and I had perhaps the most singularly identifiable color combination in college athletics with orange and white, I would simply just wear uniforms with those two colors and not wear horrid gray kits

the temptation for Nebraska Mike Riley is real here but Mike Riley did not come in with legitimate 8/10 level offensive talent and completely obliterate a running game that was good the previous season

really bad decision to hire joe biden as our football coach

Big ups to Jason Beck for bringing back the Denard offense in that I pray every single play is a Bryce scramble because it’s better than whatever he’s drawn up.

In the era of 105-man rosters you can surely generate a new Caden Kolesar

040

I’d say gradual. He was legitimately excellent in the 2000s. Got stretched too thin in the 2010s but still had it. Every year since 2022 has been rapidly diminishing returns.

My dad has sent the exact same "I look forward to watching our defense" text four separate times in the last hour re: Michigan and, well, agreed

But they hired the most overrated annoying hardass of the last 20 years! I thought that would fix everything

I do not understand why Michigan saw the first three runs, all mashing vertical ones, and has refused to just run duo at these guys until they stop it.

If you had told me I would dread Gus Johnson on a play by play call in 2016 I would have thought I’d become an insane person. But: here we are.

I was more offended by the punt on fourth and 3 earlier. That should be a go.

Michigan is gonna run Bryce Underwood 20+ times in every big game this year and they’re 100% correct to do so.

Unfortunately, I must offer critical support to Big Nude Saturday at this time.

That's what I can't get over, Mantz is probably our best marathoner we've produced yet as a country and even he 'only' got to 2:08 out the gate in Chicago. I've never seen anything like it.

Vincent Mauri | Strava Athlete Profile

Like most I would have guessed some sort of clock foolishness or Strava scamming but it's legit: www.strava.com/athletes/432... This is a guy who was a very good but not elite college runner who might be the US's next great export. Insane story that I feel should be on ESPN ASAP.

45-Mile Days, Planet Fitness Treadmills, & A 2:05 Debut: What Can Vinny Mauri Do in Chicago?

One of the wildest stories I can remember: guy who won the Toledo marathon with the *fastest debut marathon in American history*, regularly does 30+ mile runs on a Planet Fitness treadmill, and is running Chicago next weekend with the goal of winning the whole thing. www.letsrun.com/news/2026/10...

From logging 36 miles in a day at 4:56 pace on Planet Fitness treadmills to dropping a solo 2:05 debut in Toledo, the formerly unheralded Vinny Mauri has already produced one of the wildest years in A...

I've never felt older than spending 20 minutes attempting to figure out how to watch the Preds opener on my TV because 1) Samsung does not have the "Preds TV" app, and 2) the lone network showing the game in East TN is accessible only via antenna to me

Big 12 Preview 2026-2027

I'm going to rip off what I saw elsewhere: "This is slop. Your favorite team has 20 transfers in/out every year. USC-Rutgers and Clemson-Cal are both conference games. Playoff teams with 3 losses. TV broadcast is 70% gambling ads. College Gameday has Pat McAfee interviewing Ted Cruz. It's over."
