That seems like it would be easier in some ways for sure, but I'd worry about not having the handy part numbers on the sprue when following the instructions afterwards. 😅 Do you just eyeball which pieces are next when building after painting? Or try and mark them somehow? Maybe a labeled parts bin?

Finished building my first #gunpla yesterday -- an Entry Grade RX-93. It was a fun experience. I'm having some issues with the shield arm falling out of its socket when I try to pose it, though. Not sure if that's usual or a fluke. For people who paint these, do you do it before or after assembly?
