Thankfully he hasn’t done anything irredeemable, though that doesn’t make his bad decisions okay. I don’t think he’s an unforgivable person, but a lot of the fanbase puts him up on a pedestal and thinks he can do no wrong, when that’s not how it works yk?

There was a couple incidents where he severely underpaid artists working under him. One of which was a designer of quite a bit of his merch and did work on one of his other series. I don’t know if it’s still continuing, there was some backlash, but it was very disappointing to see as an artist.

I’ve managed to come back to the Sanders Sides fandom in the time since I left. I’ve realized that I’m allowed to still like a piece of media and talk with other fans even if the creator has done bad things. The sides still mean the world to me. I’m just not gonna put people on pedestals like that

Ah I see. I guess I’m the opposite. I’ve learned of the concept of Impact over Intent. The most common analogy of which being that if someone steps on your toe, no matter if they intended to or not, it still hurts. That doesn’t mean intent doesn’t matter at ALL, just that impact matters much more.

whenever I think about that episode I just get so… angry… at what’s supposed to be my favourite character. To the point where I feel like I hate him. He ruined Roman, or at least played a part in that. He drove Virgil away from him. Logan feels unwanted but to be fair all of them did that part.

Like in particular I think the season finale will be everyone’s frustrations that they’ve accumulated throughout the whole season all blowing up at each other, and that’s when Orange will make his presence known. But that’s just a theory, a Sanders Sides theory!

I think his frustration was genuine, however Orange was definitely involved in some way. There were a couple nods to him in the ep after all, and he seems to be what season 2 has been leading up to. I don’t think he was pulling ALL of the strings, but pulling some for sure.
