I’ve managed to come back to the Sanders Sides fandom in the time since I left. I’ve realized that I’m allowed to still like a piece of media and talk with other fans even if the creator has done bad things. The sides still mean the world to me. I’m just not gonna put people on pedestals like that

Shay 🌟🍃 @starshaymin.bsky.social · 13/02/2026

It’s been a good while, but I promised I deliver. Behold! My little fan-made freaks <3 These guys mean so much to me, cant believe they’re about to turn 8 years old this year! I think I’m gonna continue making more stuff with them 👀 #sanderssides #fandersides #sanderssidesOCs #shayminsides

Okay… I’ve recently gotten an idea for something. I’m not making any promises, but there might be something else coming for my Fander Sides after the ref is finished. If I go through with it, then I hope it can enact at least some change. #shayminsides #sanderssidesocs #fandersides

Fanders, I PROMISE I want to frolic with you SO FUCKING BAD, but unfortunately I am cursed with knowledge 😭😔 (idk if I should tag this)

It’s tragic how the internet and online public figures have broken so many people’s trust. We’ve come to expect it, that one day one of our faves will backstab us, AGAIN, but we’re so tired. I’m so tired. This has got to have had massive detrimental impact on many people’s mental health.

110

Shay 🌟🍃 @starshaymin.bsky.social · 08/10/2025

Regarding this, I’m still going to be posting the OC ref, but I’m not gonna tag him, and I’ll try and take a break from the fandom to process my grief. It’s been rough

Serves me right for going down another rabbit hole bc I found out some things I’d rather not have known about our favourite ex-vine-guy Did you know he severely underpaid one of his artist employees and then laid them off? Bc I sure didn’t 🙃 this is why I can’t have nice things… #thomassanders

whenever I think about that episode I just get so… angry… at what’s supposed to be my favourite character. To the point where I feel like I hate him. He ruined Roman, or at least played a part in that. He drove Virgil away from him. Logan feels unwanted but to be fair all of them did that part.

Please, just stop sending me AI videos of Dad. Stop believing I wanna see it or that I'll understand, I don't and I won't. If you're just trying to troll me, I've seen way worse, i'll restrict and move on. But please, if you've got any decency, just stop doing this to him and to me, to everyone even, full stop. It's dumb, it's a waste of time and energy, and believe me, it's NOT what he'd want.
To watch the legacies of real people be condensed down to 'this vaguely looks and sounds like them so that's enough,
, just so
other people can churn out horrible TikTok slop puppeteering them is maddening. You're not making art, you're making disgusting, over-processed hotdogs out of the lives of human beings, out of the history of art and music, and then shoving them down someone else's throat hoping they'll give you a little thumbs up and like it.
Gross.

And for the love of EVERYTHING, stop calling it 'the future. Al is just badly recycling and regurgitating the past to be reconsumed. You are taking in the Human Centipede of content, and from the very very end of the line, all while the folks at the front laugh and laugh, consume and consume.

What’s more autistic than creating Pokémon teams (Pokémon is your biggest special interest of all time) for the Sanders Sides (Sanders Sides is your current obsession)? Idk but there’s not much Teams in order are; Patton, Roman, Logan, Virgil Janus and Remus in the replies #sanderssides #pokémon

man… I’m a less than mediocre RPG 💀😭 Eh, this trend is just an excuse for big accounts to flaunt how cool they are by comparing themselves to good games, anyway

This whole fandom archeological dig in fact STARTED because I was curious as to the creation date of my sides OCs. Yeah, I didn’t know when my own goobers were made 😭. THANKFULLY Procreate logs the date that a canvas was created, so now I know they are, god, 7 years old by now! Wild #fandersides

sorry for the rant chat, I was just feeling A Way (the increase in unsympathetic Patton content around the time of SvS really fucked me up so I have Strong Feelings about the occasional demonization of his character)

120

Shay 🌟🍃 @starshaymin.bsky.social · 09/09/2025

This is how some Unsympathetic Patton content reads to me: Canon Patton: “I only wish for Thomas to be a good and kind person. I screw up sometimes when I think I’m doing the right thing, but the last thing I wanna do is hurt anybody!” Unsymp!Fic: “You are a horrible abuser!” (🧵) #sanderssides

This is a bit of an older one, but I thought I’d post it anyway. The sides as Pokémon! Since (to my knowledge) neither Janus or Remus had said what their favourite ’mon was I had to take some creative liberties of Garbodor and Shiny Arbok. (🧵1/2) @thomassanders.bsky.social I hope you like them 😅
