Yeah, typical because it's an older phone and not an iphone they didn't have a new battery in stock. With some luck it wont take longer saturday. I could really have done without having to spend more money on another emergency expense, but £40 is better than a new phone and a house fire

Hi, my phone battery decided it wanted to try exploding. I got it to a repair shop before anything happened, but I'm now on a loan phone until Saturday. So I'm going old school and will only be able to pick up anything other than a text when I'm on my laptop.

Me! I don't have one, and whenever I get a passport again it's going to be an Irish one. So, wtf am i supposed to do? Become even more socially isolated because I can't talk to my friends as easily and reach my disability support network I've built? Even if i had a UK passport id refuse. But still

This is Crowley’s wedding outfit. Sewing machines are like printers. There is NO rhyme or reason to them, they just decide that they're not working that day. You can do the exact same thing 3 days in a row and only one of those days will be a good sewing day. And they know when you have a deadline

I was very lucky to meet @colleendoran.bsky.social today at the Lakes International Comic Art Festival and got my #GOGraphicNovel signed. Bizarrely only 5 days short of one year since it arrived. I also accidentally made her cry by giving her mini cross stitch graphic novel husbands. Oops

I think a second opinion is necessary. I had to ask for one too before I was taken seriously and my chronic illness diagnosed. The running around and extra stress of your insurance is not good 🫂 I'll keep my fingers crossed for you finding someone soon

When i started seeing the physio therapist from the pain management clinic 4 years later, she just went "no, I'm not surprised you couldn't do their beginning physio exercises. We're going to start further back." Once you find the right people who actually understand what's going on it helps

The worst words someone with a chronic illness that's under investigation can hear is "your results are normal" 🫂 The waiting and investigation is absolutely hell. But they will eventually have an answer.

Lol I've actually done the watch me when someone said I couldn't eat all of the food. To the extent that at 11 years old the chef was so impressed he came out to meet me, I got my pizza on the house and a free ice lolly. Three grown men -0 one 11 year old girl -1
