Nearly forgot to post this! Found during stream earlier today is Axel the Poipole (who will be staying Poipole) after 8852 Soft Resets! I do find it more than amusing to find it on Fishing Friday instead of Wormhole Wednesday, but even funnier that it shares its nature/trait with Xurkitree…

Sassy and mischievous shiny Poipole! Just a little over double odds makes my average for the Ultra Beasts a little over, but I cannot and will not be upset for it. They’re stunning and I’m looking forward to keeping them in these wonderful Alolan games 🧡 the mouth is a beautiful blue I didn’t even fully recognize until Refresh.

The Mimikyu video is officially set to drop tomorrow and I'm SO excited! It's still baffling to think that journey is set (and that I can clear so much space from my computer now oh my days), but I'm looking forward to keeping that journey close to my heart forevermore <3

4099 encounters later…I got her 💜 To think I almost didn’t hunt tonight. To think I had figured I’d be doing this at least until October while ALSO thinking with each Mimikyu I saw that it could be “this one.” Here is Hina, naive and hates to lose. Caught in my favorite (Moon) Ball!

Hina…the Thrifty Megamart’s 5% encounter. I’ve never decided to go after a 5% before, and I don’t know if I’m more or less surprised that it took over a year. But she’s home! And named after a Polynesian goddess with ties to the moon (among other things, of course, but I was using my Moon/Ultra Moon to hunt for her, and love my space-related things anywho…)

3163 encounters later and I can happily say I have caught a dozen shiny Haunter in generation 7. I…don’t know if this will ever be the key to the universe or anything, but just in case! This is Thaye, who is also modest!

Modest and hates to lose shiny Haunter named Thaye!

5618 encounters for this lovely Modest friend of mine. I’ll admit that I couldn’t help just…staring as he appeared, my quiet acceptance of another phase to arrive and be caught. This Poltergeist is just as cool as the first Haunter found, though 💜

Aaaand a measly 1507 encounters brings the ninth bat to join the party. I will say that Dust has an impeccable sense of timing, but oh my days. He’s adamantly quick to flee or something

I keep saying I hope to find it before the end of the year (I wanted to find it before the end of June but we all see how that went lol). I’ve really been feeling like it could happen soon the past few phases, though. I still hope you have the time and energy to get yours before I get mine!!

These two get posted together because I found them within 30 minutes of one another. In the same game. I don’t even—what?? Phases 31 and 32 for Mimikyu are Klefkis 8 and 9. I don’t know what place I need to search for to make these keys happy, but they have hearts of gold… 3094 and 166 encounters

Keyleth the quirky and quick tempered Klefki— did not care for quick or ultra balls, but really liked the blue of the great

Vex’ahlkeya the rash and often lost in thought gal. 166 encounters after her friend, less than if you’re just thinking of the one console instead of the two. She *did* like the quick ball.

6447 encounters to round out my thirtieth shiny on this quest! A baffling thing that only continues to be baffling. What do you mean I have a full box of shinies from this hunt alone?

Shiny Golbat caught in a quick ball. Bold and scatters things often

100

1081 encounters. I don’t even—these guys hear my thoughts of “I’ll just get my encounters up for tomorrow’s stream” and go “haha, no actually. Encounters go down.” Phase 29 and the 10th Haunter—this is Kormos. And I do think Impish is an acceptable nature for any of these guys at this point.

Male shiny Haunter caught in a Dusk Ball. Impish and quick tempered and caught while watching a Markiplier compilation.

1556 encounters for Penelokey the Klefki. She put up quite the fight to be caught, had to bring out my Pheromosa to false swipe and everything. I made a comment about how if she wasn’t Sassy nature, the game was lying to me, and lo and behold…at least there is that

Penelokey is sassy and likes to thrash about. Which is very fitting considering the number of pokeballs I had to throw before she played nice with a critical capture and her health in the red. I can’t believe I have 7 Klefkis. What do you even do with that many keys?

100

Starring Saturn @starringsaturn.standingintheodds.com · 16/06/2026

…Which was not too long a phase at all! 2099 encounters (this was on the second to last set for the morning, by the way) brings another Golbat while (re)watching BlueVacktor’s generation 3 DTQ! And since my Golbat nicknames are more on vibes than anything else…the jolly GreenVacktor it is!

Golbat #7 on this Mimikyu quest! Caught in a quick ball, jolly, and somewhat of a clown, GreenVacktor showed up right before I was going to call it and go grab some food

Since I imagine the next encounter milestone I’d hit is double odds, I did think it was nifty to breach 100,000 encounters (so far) for this Mimikyu hunt. The goal is still set to find this before the end of June, but goodness knows only time will be the one to tell

Displaying the phases/encounters for shiny Mimikyu (so far. Hasn’t been found yet). Over 100 thousand encounters with 25 phases done, who can say how many more are in store?

…What do I even say at this point? You’re telling me, out of my now 25 finished phases, 6 of them are Klefki? What? I found this gal within four minutes of today’s hunting session. She’s gentle and takes plenty of siestas, but she certainly wasn’t sleeping on arrival! 454 encounters.

Shiny Klefki caught in a quick ball, named after the Greek goddess Psyche (but it’s Psykey. Get it? She has keys.) I don’t even know what to say anymore. 3 days in a row I’ve found a shiny in these games. Oh my days

3550 encounters for this lovely bat. The impetuous and silly characteristic is so fun to see. So very joyous! I keep thinking that I'm bound for an over odds phase. I imagine at some point, I'm even more bound to be correct. But phase 23 made for a nice simple catch with this bold gal!

and now i have six caught golbat for this mimikyu hunt! (To be fair, I did evolve one into Crobat). This is Glitch, who is bold, impetuous, and silly. I was watching Markiplier play Help Wanted and he just got to the very alarming end at the time of me finding her, but I wouldn't entertain the complete namesake for any iteration of William Afton. Glitch felt...fitting, though!

No but what do you mean I get 15% Klefki two days in a row 884 encounters apart from each other. Who is LOSING ALL THEIR KEYS??? This is Eurkeydice, not to be mistaken for Eurydice the Shuppet a few phases back. www.twitch.tv/starringsatu... She’s careful and loves to eat, which I will now go do!

We were talking about lovely Hadestown and the tale of Orpheus and Eurydice. Caught in a quick ball and bringing the Klefki count up to FIVE count them FIVE! This megamart has so many lost keys being found…

😭 I find that I am both less surprised with each shiny I find and more flabbergasted that I’ve actually found as many as I have. To think I’ve started going “surely I get it before 30” for myself when it feels like not too long ago I was saying the same for you. We’ve got this ✨

3689 gives way to Nickey the modest and quick tempered Klefki! After the last Haunter, I did say I had a feeling I’d be getting at least one more of these! …Sometimes I wish I wasn’t so correct lol. Here’s to hoping there’s not too much more phasing ahead. But time and RNG will certainly tell…

Shimmy Klefki number 4! She’s Modest, quick tempered, and caught in a Dusk Ball.

3812 Encounters to lure in my eighth Haunter and twentieth phase for this hunt...And while I'm not surprised to hit such numbers, it's weird to think about the fact I'm making this progress, if that makes sense. Relaxed and highly persistent is a good description of how I feel with each phase, now.

5344 encounters brings Mare, my seventh Haunter! She’s Hardy and alert to sounds and is the 19th overall on this quest for Mimikyu. Tomorrow on stream I’ll be hitting 81920 (probably going a little over) total encounters. Which is…crazy! Would be crazy if we hit phase 20, too…

Shuppet has really been saying “watch me catch up to Haunter and Golbat” because holy crow. My Ultra Moon file is on some kind of run. 4262 encounters brings the Relaxed and Mischievous Dora (if you’ve played Hades 2, I think you’ll agree this is a fairly apt description). Always such a pretty blue✨

Shiny Shuppet #4, caught in a Great Ball! All four have been females, which made me check and see if that’s just. A thing.

It isn’t, but it made me question.

Dora is relaxed and mischievous and appeared while I was watching some Criminal Minds!

4184 encounters for this little insomniac to end phase 16. 4/5. wooooooooah. the recording of this one will be interesting because something peculiar happened to my mic but it's okay. i'm just. a robot. or i experienced vocal fry by being caught in the flames of asphodel for too long.

caught in the first net ball thrown, no need to fear curse (i DID use Soak turn one, though), this is Eurydice the shiny Shuppet! And now it is truly official, counting evolutions from the findable 'mon in the Megamart, the only one I need is Mimikyu. Here's to hoping the next three phases show me a kindness.

1468 encounters later gives me my third Klefki and a prompt end to phase 15. Holyyyyy I’m 3/4 of the way through the expected phases. I’m scared—but Spaghettkey is a very serious prankster who likes to run. That makes one of us! (Though, how does a Klefki…run?)

My husband came in shortly after I encountered this guy saying he just had a bowl of Spaghetti…and I’ve been giving Klefkis nicknames with key in them…so. Spaghettkey! He was another easy catch, super under odds phase, and brings the total number of encounters just below 65000…we’ll be hitting 81920 soon!

Phase 14 ends at a crisp 2765–holy! Almost 3/4 of the way to the expected 20 is honestly wild. This is the sassy and thoroughly cunning Yokai, prepared to catch you off-guard if you talk too much around it. This guy’s chill, though. I think

This brings the Haunter count up to 6! 6 out of the 14 completed phases…goodness. He was another quick ball catch. Ability is levitate, naturally, and of course we love an under odds phase! Sassy and thoroughly cunning sounds right for a Yokai (solely from Phasmophobia) but I couldn’t even tell you as to why.

I’ve always wondered if there’s a grand preferred setting for these. I end up manually running the three minute ad break at the beginning and at each hour (or as close to as I can think) and have it be a “brb” so people can grab snacks or whatever and not feel like they risk missing a shiny.
