A couple of nights ago I watched "The Incredible World of Horace Ford" and thought it was great. It actually reminded me of some of your stories.

Another annoyance is having to use JavaScript to prevent duplicate form submissions, by disabling the submit button after it's been clicked.

I use form submits, and I am forever forgetting to set the enctype attribute when a form has file inputs.

If anyone in the history of comics deserves to be called a genius, it's Jack Kirby: artist, writer, visionary. We all stand on his shoulders. Happy Birthday, Jack—wherever in the cosmos you are!

It's Jack Kirby's birthday! He was largely responsible for creating the very language of superhero comics and no one ever did it better. His essence is still influential, even today. In his honour, here's a few sketches I've done of some of his greatest characters.

This clearly demonstrates that just one or two observers in an area are not enough. Help your neighbors, the community, and the National Weather Service by volunteering as a CoCoRaHS observer. It's easy, it's fun, and you are contributing to the climate history of your area.

"But we, who have lost our pigeons, mourn the loss. Had the funeral been ours, the pigeons would hardly have mourned us. In this fact, rather than in Mr. DuPont's nylons or Mr. Vannevar Bush's bombs, lies objective evidence of our superiority over the beasts".

It's worth a shot, right?
The Mutts comic strip from July 12, 2026. It proposes the idea of a national "purr in" for world peace, where all cat owners make their cats purr at the same designated time, to create a humongous purr resonating through the cosmos. At the very least, the cats will be happy.

This reminds me of how Stanley Kubrick, while making 2001, worried the Mariner IV spacecraft might detect ET life on Mars, and ruin his film. He asked Lloyd's of London for an insurance policy on that scenario. They quoted him a number, but it was too high, and he didn't accept it, said Clarke.
