My birthday is in two days & I had a discussion with my husband at 9pm about how the US is imperial core & if it wants us dead they will kill us & until I die I will choose serenity & peace & love & life over fear as many times as I am able & I think abt all ppl killed bc of us/USA & mourn deeply

chinga la migra May the spirit of rebellion grow & multiply!! I absolutely reject the logic that comrades are ever responsible for any increased state repression. We are living in fascist time, they don't need "excuses." Be ungovernable, maintain solidarity, & keep tactical differences internal

Sometimes I’m filled with despair because of all the things in the world that are truly despairing. & THEN I read books like Rest is Resistance & Pedagogy of the Oppressed & Some of Us Did Not Die & We Do This Til We Free Us & Care Work & Neuroqueer Heresies and I’m reminded I have STRENGTH & HOPE!

Years ago I learned about Bayard Rustin & all he did for the people as an openly gay Black man during Jim Crow, the Civil Rights Movement, &c. He said, “The only weapon we have is our bodies, and we need to tuck them in places so wheels don’t turn.” I vowed then & now to put my body in the cogs.

Sometimes I rewatch episodes of Star Trek from 30+ years ago that remind me that at our core, humanity is a hopeful species that can imagine (and one day attain) a loving, kind future where all are taken care of (DS9 s3e24 “Shakaar”)
