We have our winner of this year's Fat Bear Week, and wouldn'tcha know it, it's the big chonky cutie I've been rooting for all week! :dragnaww: #FatBearWeek #FatBearWeek2026

Tweet from the U.S. Department of the Interior:

He got it from his mama.
︀︀
︀︀Bear 89, aka Backpack, is the 2026 Fat Bear Week champ. Turns out hefty runs in the family.
︀︀
︀︀His mom, Holly the Duchess of Density, won in 2019. She carried him on her back as a cub and helped him survive a serious leg injury. Now her little Backpack has a crown of his own. 👑

I love the kinds of crackships you can get if you fill a Tomodachi Life island with fictional characters. Like, as of right now, the Ralsei and GLaDOS of my island are both mutually crushing on each other. #TomodachiLife

Whenever people mention non-video-game characters getting into Smash, it's always Goku, or maybe Shrek for the meme crowd. Nobody ever mentions the obvious choice of Miss Piggy as a Kazuya echo. #SuperSmashBros #TheMuppets

this is the most exciting Disney movie announcement of the 2020s, IMO #Disney #Pixar #animation

Screenshot of a Tweet from DiscussingFilm reading:

"First look at ‘GATTO’, a new PIXAR film from ‘Luca’ director Enrico Casarosa

• Follows a black cat in Venice with a love of music who is shunned by locals due to superstitions

• New hand-painted style of animation

• In theaters Summer 2027"

[venting about live-action remakes] I already wasn't looking forward to the Lilo & Stitch remake, I don't tend to like the remakes Disney's been doing, but I don't know that ANY of the previous remakes have missed the point of the original THIS badly.

Screenshot of the Wikipedia plot synopsis for the 2025 Lilo & Stitch remake, with the last three paragraphs highlighted:

Jumba takes Stitch aboard his spaceship using a teleportation portal gun, intending to erase Stitch's newfound empathy. However, Lilo sneaks aboard, frees Stitch, and they eject Jumba from the ship. The ship crashes into the ocean, trapping Lilo and Stitch underwater. Stitch rescues her but cannot swim to the surface. He releases her to let her emerge and drowns.

Nani and David rescue Lilo, but she refuses to leave Stitch. David returns Lilo to shore while Nani swims back to get Stitch from the ocean floor. They reach shore, but Stitch isn't breathing. Nani, David, Tūtū, Bubbles, and Pleakley (found by Bubbles) revive Stitch by jump-starting his lungs. Shortly later, the Grand Councilwoman arrives. After seeing Stitch's change of heart, she re-arrests Jumba and decides to let Stitch exile on Earth with his newfound 'ohana.

As the Pelekais, Stitch, David, Tūtū, Bubbles, and Pleakley return home, Kekoa tells Nani she can give Lilo's guardianship to David and Tūtū, allowing her to stay home. The 'ohana then repairs the house and lives happily together. Nani, now attending the University of California, San Diego to study marine biology, visits Lilo and Stitch back on Kaua'i, using Jumba's portal-generating gun.
