Absolutely! No surveillance, right to opt-out, right to privacy, and right to control your data (retrieve and remove from 3rd parties). And there's a big effing difference between 1A rights to record in public spaces vs autonomous systems that collect and analyze en mass.

Not just government surveillance, but also corporation-based surveillance. It would be easy to just not provide Flock's data to the government and instead provide it to a third party (like an insurance company) who could later turn it over. The entire premise of Flock should never happen again.

They're only doing something right now to fix their PR. This is a typical corpo move, expect them to roll the changes back silently. Flock isn't the only company that does this, Axon (the bodycam company) make ALPRs too, though Flock is the only company that has faced backlash as of now.
