Had fun being a Z-Volunteer on the Zeekr stand at Everything Electric Sydney today. Didn't get to see any of the show as I was too busy chatting with people on the stand all day but will get to check things out a bit more tomorrow and Sunday. Ended the day with drinks with AEVA crew at the Novotel.

The day has dawned on Sydney Olympic Park and it's go time for three days of Everything Electric! The flight to Sydney was excellent and thanks to my friend Eric for picking me up at the airport. It's all worked out despite being diagnosed with a cataract along the way!

Spent the afternoon working on the newspaper from my room at the Adelaide Airport Motel. Then I went to IKEA across the road and had Swedish meatballs for dinner. Ordered an electric Uber to get to the Australian Electric Vehicle Association SA branch AGM and got a Polestar, which felt like home.

Enjoyed quick 20-minute Q400 Qantas flight from Kingscote to Adelaide this morning. Lo and behold my exact spec and colour Zeekr 7X was on display at the baggage carousel, so that's where I did the Teams meeting on laptop with Zeekr HQ about the Everything Electric show procedure. Very appropriate!

Configured my dream Polestar 4 wagon: Dual motor in Ozone blue metallic, Napa upgrade with Bridge of Weir leather in Zinc, photochromatic roof, 22kW AC charging and V2L adapter. Came in at $112,724. So nice!!

It’s getting better but now the race is on to keep the infrastructure pipeline flowing to match the influx of vehicles. I was able to complete my lap quite easily without using a Tesla Supercharger and didn’t have to queue a single time.

Charged up and drove to 60km to Cape Jervis after the SeaLink update said the 12noon was sailing. But on arrival it looked like a washing machine and the soonest they could get me on was the 6pm sailing. So decided to head back to Victor Harbor for the night and get the 9am tomorrow.

Delighted to report the fantastic technicians at Volvo service found and removed the culprit of my noisy AC fan. Just how the offending leaf got into there is unknown, but my Zeekr is back to its silent self. Also got my stone chips repaired this afternoon, so all missions accomplished!

UPDATE: So I get to the service centre and the AC fan clicking noise is gone! It was making it when I left Victor but I didn't use the fan on the 1 hour drive. They are still going to look at the filter placement for me.

They replaced the AC filter so I'm thinking that's the culprit. Also the car needs to go back for a whole day anyway as the software update failed. They also replaced the wiper blades - $180 - and so the entire service cost $480. I also need new tyres. The Continentals only have 22k on them.

Oh oh. Half way through the city in rush hour traffic after leaving the Volvo service centre I turn on the Zeekr's AC and the fan is making this horrible grinding, clicking noise. I kept going but I'm going to drive back 85km from Victor Harbor first thing tomorrow morning.

Twig checking out the Zeekr merch. Things I love about the Polestar 4 - operating system with Google, proper one-pedal driving, and the indicator sounds. I don't mind the rear camera. Things I prefer in the 7X - extra power and zippiness thats more manoeuvrable, more comfortable seats, auto doors.

Drove loaner Polestar 4 coupe up into Adelaide Hills to partake in award winning sausage roll and vanilla slice from Banana Boogie bakery. Then took it out on the freeway toward Mount Barker. Now back at Volvo Polestar Zeekr Geely service centre waiting for upload of last software module.

So I dropped off my Zeekr 7X at the new Volvo Adelaide service centre for its optional 20k service and look what they gave me to drive!! I can't believe it after finding out about and commenting on the awesome new Polestar 4 wagon only yesterday, now I get to drive one, albeit the coupe version.

Yup. I got an aftermarket full size spare for my lap just to be safe. Zeekr has a warehouse in Melbourne full of spare parts and has made it a priority, even so they recently ran out of replacement windscreens, so there's always room for improvement.

Dropped off my vacuum cleaner for repair, took the Zeekr to The Wash at Glenelg for the cleanse and hydrate package, while I had a snack and did some work on the laptop. Now at my Adelaide home-away-from-home for the night. Plan to have Singapore noodles for dinner.

We are off from Kangaroo Island to Adelaide for a few days to get the Zeekr 7X its 20,000 km service, detailed, paint chip repaired, and a few other city errands. Nice day for sailing!
