Yeah, he got an actual IRL job and it basically sucks away all of his free time forever, so he basically stopped developing anything. It didn't help that the next thing he wanted to make was a fairly kink-heavy porn game and basically every site he could earn money from for it cracked down on porn.

Yeah, were it any other soundtrack these songs would be amazing, it's mostly just got one hell of a legacy to try to compare up to. So much so that when Toby Fox announced he was doing the music he basically just went "Yeah guys, I'll try my best but it's not gonna be as good as the original."

My general takeaway is that all of the songs are functionally about as good, but also very different in how they interpret the mood of the game. Except for the main battle theme(s) which are indeed basically peper steak but worse, but trying to compare anything to that was doomed from the start.

It's pretty fun, but its mission-based story structure can be kind of exhausting since it involves walking through very similar environments way too many times. It also has a fairly bad translation, though it's at least good enough to understand the major plot beats.

It's got some problems but there's a super interesting game at its core. I think if you do play it you'll probably want to just have a walkthrough cause it's super hands-off in just about every way. And if you wanted a more "polished" experience there's the EB Beginnings romhack made in Earthbound.

Fucked up that now the most convenient way of playing Panel de Pon, online with friends as well, is by the new Class of '09 game. It's a lot better than I thought it would be other than a few mechanical quirks being different from Pokemon Puzzle League, the game it's blatantly copying (compliment).

Finished up Kingdoms of the Dump. One of those games that's decently fun, moderately enjoyable, but ultimately doesn't do much to make it stand out all that much. I don't regret my time with it, but I doubt I'll ever go back to it.

So you could have say, 10 drones that used to be different people, but now they all look, think, and act the same (which is usually submissive to their owner) so you basically can't tell them apart from each other at all anymore. Just a thing to be owned and used.

The idea of a drone is it's no longer a "person" but a "thing" you can make a lot of, so you tend to see the latex and hypno glasses because the latex is used to make every drone look the same, while the glasses make every drone think the same, removing any means of identifying one from another.

Also, while 450 is pretty steep, for the most part the stopping point for XXLs is at 180, or 4 extra dupes, to unlock their third evolution star. This gives you access to their sigil which usually rounds out their kit nicely and has one of the bigger stat boosts. Slightly more reasonable at least.

A series of uploads of my let's play for Shin Megami Tensei Rata2ouille: The Perfect Dish. For a while there was a long string of partially blocked visibility due to copyright content, before having a short string of 3 videos where there were no visibility blocking, before once again being visibility blocked on the most recent video.
