My, but I enjoy wee museums in wee towns. The museum in the old Soo Line depot here in Frederic is a nice way to spend some time exploring history. #leicatyp112

Sauk Centre, the home town of Sinclair Lewis. I have been irritated with him because he wrote “Main Street,” the novel I wanted to write. Initially the town was unhappy after Sinclair skewered them mightily in his writings, but after he won the Nobel Prize they forgave him. #leicaq2monochrom

Some images from my first walkabout with my new friend, a Leica Q2 Monochrom. I think we will be very happy together.

I used to have several Fuji GS645 cameras (I liked the 45mm Wide best). Spectacular, fun cameras that make such lovely sharp images. Nice shot!

50°? On March 3rd? In Minnesota? Yes, please. For all the terror my poor neighbors have suffered, I hope this wee respite from Mother Nature’s usual fury can be a balm in these troubled times. Get outside, my beloveds! The Sun is out and it is working. #iphone17

Nighttime shouldn’t be this easy. ASA 400, f1.7, optical stabilization, handheld at 1/10th second? Yes, please. #leicaq2

Faribault with my new toy/tool/distraction. It is pretty fun to shoot and seems to be working well. #leicaq2

Lewis, Wisconsin, is definitely off the beaten track. Some lovely bits, though. #leicadlux8

Wow, you’ve got me beaten for quirky setup! I have taken to making proper enlargements, then using a digital camera to photograph the photograph. But using enlarger negative holders is a great idea, thanks!

Tony J. Pollock @stanbat.bsky.social · 07/12/2025

Nice! What do you use to scan negatives? I am having a lot of trouble deciding what setup to choose. Thanks!

Ho. Lee. Shit. I’ve waited 64 1/2 years to see the aurorae with my naked eyes. Spectacular show tonight! #iphone17

Ah, Fort Snelling…haven’t been here in years. And a lovely day to explore. And this wee camera is just about to wean me off film altogether. #leicac112

I HAVE A SHOW! My friend Mark asked if I had any pictures to hang at Holy Cross Lutheran church for an art show. I’ve never done one before, but after frantically enlarging and framing,we hung them up today. I am so very proud and honored and humbled to be able to share my work with others.

You don’t need big ones to be beautiful. The rest of your sweet self more than makes up for big ones.

I have liked and enjoyed all of your images here but can’t really like each one, since choosing a heart on Bluesky then saves it in my “favorites”, which would get tediously large. That’s the only thing I like better about Instagram. Otherwise BS is better.

For every soul from any place across this world who died while defending freedom, justice and peace, I thank you for your ultimate sacrifice. And for anyone who died in the promotion of tyranny, hate and oppression, I am sorry you felt compelled to do so.

If I ever have to give up my Forever Home (like because of an extradition issue, for example), this would be a great place to look for me. Absolutely adore this little town.
