!and then! it turns out Xie Lian is dying. He doesn’t want to reconnect with Hua Cheng (whom he remembers vividly), because he is very ill and doesn’t want to traumatise him further. So he stays away but does everything in his power to help Hua Cheng while he still has time

Before leaving, Xie Lian tells him that he’s mistaken and he wasn’t the one to who saved him. He leaves and doesn’t come back. Hua Cheng is devastated. But suddenly! Suddenly, things turn for better. His enemies disappear. Someone anonymous invests heavily into his start up.

Hua Cheng recognizes him instantly, tries to talk to Xie Lian about what happened but Xie Lian ignores him. He drives him to the hospital but is mostly silent. And once Hua Cheng wakes up he still doesn’t want to talk.

Hua Cheng is in his late teens/early twenties, he is trying to establish himself, but the world is cruel and he keeps falling. And then, suddenly, his luck turns — he’s bleeding out in the alley and suddenly there’s an angel before him. Xie Lian comes to save him once again.
