I really like Honda, and if Honda had an electric Civic or Accord in 2024 when I needed to replace my gas civic, I almost 100% would have bought it. They didn't, so I bought the Accord Hybrid. I love it, but do wish I could have gotten an electric one.

also, the US is just not pushing EVs at all. Elsewhere in the world, full electric vehicles are up 62% year over year. 2/3s of every car sold in china right now is electric

Sta7ic @sta7ic.bsky.social · 17h

Genuine question: has there been any marketing campaign for this car? I don't remember seeing a single tv commercial for it, and there's one video on youtube from when it launched and that's it.

To follow up on this, there has definitely been evidence of one benefit of restricting the tickets: Tickets are definitely worth more. I got way more for my Syracuse tickets than I was expecting, and the cheapest ticket for the UNC game on the secondary market is $99. Easily highest non WVU/PSU/ND

Sta7ic @sta7ic.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I would only modify this to say "ACC Championship Game caliber team" because other than that I agree with him with Pitt's schedule

Sta7ic @sta7ic.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

For Pitt fans who don't want to spend $1 billion to go to Ireland with Pitt's hospitality packages, see below. Game tickets on their own will be out sometime in January most likely.

I know you've answered this before but assuming S&P doesn't account for future effects of injuries? Speaking mostly on Pitt losing starting QB in VT game

It ain't dumb if it works.

Flights to Ireland booked. The Aer Lingus flights we picked at least were pretty reasonable.

Here is the best angle to see the Virginia Tech kick did appear to be No Good.

Sta7ic @sta7ic.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

look at the staffers behind the ref. They know it's no good before ref even signals

Watch the replay of the field goal. There is a Virginia Tech staffer directly behind the official and before the ref makes his call, the staffer immediately puts his hands on his head in disgust. This is the telltale sign the kick was wide.

Honestly, that interview at the end is why I still genuinely like Duzz. He's block headed, a bit nuts, says silly shit, but man you can tell he loves this program and loves his players. And you know what? that buys a lot of slack with me.

Sta7ic @sta7ic.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I said the refs bailed out Pitt before but they have certainly equalized stuff.

Sta7ic @sta7ic.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Is it like a design these wide open offense OCs can't run anything under center? Does it physically hurt them?

Sta7ic @sta7ic.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

this game is so drunk

he deserves a lot of shit but there are games like this one where you can FEEL the team adjusting as the game goes on. The D has come up huge and a back up QB just rewarded them for it.

Sta7ic @sta7ic.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

It would be hilarious for all the times Pitt got burned by a backup to finally steal one

Sta7ic @sta7ic.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

with a backup QB!

(what a fucking throw)

Sta7ic @sta7ic.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

"Questionable to return" I have a better chance of playing QB in this game than Mason does unfortunately.

Sta7ic @sta7ic.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

I've mostly had the feeling through the first four games that the tarping to improve atmosphere has largely been a failure. Forced people to pay more and (in my case at least) worse seats/experience. Maybe this will be the first real opportunity to evaluate it.

Sta7ic @sta7ic.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

VTech refuses to admit they and Pitt are in the same tier of programs.

Sta7ic @sta7ic.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Apparently my daughter started a "let's go Pitt " chant in her day care as she left yesterday. She got like six kids into it.
