This is an excellent policy roadmap, especially at the Federal and State levels. Cities should get ahead of the ball as much as they can w/in their limited levers control (mostly land use reforms and tenant protections) and press State and Federal reps to get it together!

Redesigning the two intersections more fundamentally is needed. It is a challenge given the current curb cuts and buildings so close to the road. Ideally, we'd fit roundabouts (or a peanut roundabout) to reduce conflicting turns, smooth & slow traffic flow, and eliminate the signal confusion.
