That (NPR!) journalists think AI is a creative engine that can finesse iconic productions is not just context for the crap quality of writing in media but alarmingly the inability among a class of supposedly professional scrutinizers to distinguish between art and slop, good and bad, truth and lie

1. In yesterday’s edition, I explained how telling the truth about a propagandist and liar has been deemed a radical act worthy of punishment. I used the case of novelist Stephen King to illustrate. www.editorialboard.com/telling-the-...

Telling the truth about Charlie Kirk is now a radical act worthy of punishment
This is how they silenced Stephen King. Don't fall for it.

Yesterday's piece from @jamellebouie.net is the only high-profile piece I've seen that specifically discusses the watchlist, its effect on academics, and its effect on public attitudes toward academia as a whole. (gift link) www.nytimes.com/2025/09/13/o...

They’re planning on building a detention center for migrants in the middle of the fetid swamps of Florida. If you think this is something new, the first internment camp they sent me and my family to in 1942 was a barbed wire prison called Rohwer. It was located in the swamps of Arkansas.

Netanyahu has spent the better part of two decades trying to strong arm the United States into an unprovoked war against Iran and finally found a president stupid enough to do it for him. Unbelievable.

We have a winner!
The image is a screenshot of a tweet from Bearly Politics (@i_ratus
). The tweet reads: “‘Yes, you’re wearing a suit, BUT DID YOU EVEN SAY THANK YOU?!’” Below the tweet, there is an image of three individuals in a formal setting, with two of them seated on ornate yellow chairs and gesturing with their hands. A penguin is standing on one of the chairs, dressed in a small suit. The background includes a fireplace, a flag, and other decorative elements, suggesting a formal or official room.
