Toisaalta taas ihan tyhjien asuntojen myyntikuvista on hankala kuvitella millaiset kalusteet sinne mahtuisivat. Mutta tuosta […]

Mural by Collin Van der Sluijs in Maastricht, the Netherlands. <3 5 Murals by Collin Van der Sluijs: streetartutopia.com/2024/05/07/5-mu…

Large mural by Collin Van der Sluijs in Maastricht, the Netherlands, depicting a detailed brown bird perched among vibrant wildflowers, leaves, and shells. The background transitions from deep blue at the bottom to shades of red, purple, and teal toward the top, filled with soft patterns of feathers and abstract foliage. The artwork covers the entire side of a tall brick building, blending realism with dreamlike textures and colors that evoke both nature and imagination.

They erased Banksy’s mural in London — just like they erase Gaza’s story every day. 💔

Side-by-side images of Banksy’s mural on the Royal Courts of Justice in London. On the left, the artwork appears faded and scrubbed, leaving only a ghostly outline of a judge raising a gavel over a protester holding a placard. On the right, the mural is fully visible in sharp black and white stencil, showing a judge in a traditional white wig and robes striking down at a protester who defends himself with a bloodied sign.

My cartoon for the @theguardian.com books autumn reads special.

Panel 1
A figure lies on a lounger as a hot, orange sun sets, saying
"The holiday's over."

Panel 2
Now wheeling a suitcase towards a plane in warm eveniong light
"It's nice to sit around in the sun reading all day."

Panel 3
The plane rises amongst the clouds
"But all good things must come to an end."

Panel 4
The figure deplanes with the suitcase in drizzle
"Coming home has its own pleasures."

Panel 5
The rain is harder. The figure shelter under an umbrella and looks into a shop window containing a selection of books and a sign reading
"New books for autumn!"

Panel 6
The figure now sits at home by an open fire, happily reading a new book. The suitcase has not yet been unpacked.

In the first panel, three young children (Charlie Brown, Lucy, and Linus) stand outside. One of the children, Linus, approaches the other two children, holding a library card, and says:

"Look! Library card! I've taken out a library card!"

He stands proud, holding his library card to his chest, and continues:
