It's even the small things. Due to reasons outside this skeet, I have a list of JSON files with a {data: {....}} structure. I can just do this and voilà, columns.

CREATE TABLE telemetry_data AS SELECT unnest(data, recursive := true) FROM read_json('*.json');

After a semicolon, on a separate line

I just saw this on Iliza's Instagram profile. And the whole post is filled with strawman arguments and deception, but this argument in particular strikes me the most. Because these people CALL THEMSELVES SETTLERS on the west bank occupied territories.

On the MacBook Pro 14 line, the M1 Pro (October 2021) was 271kg compared to 218kg for the recent M4 (October 2024). It seems some product lines still see actual numbers improvement, but the new PDF format in the Apple environment page use numbers which may not mean what you think they do.

Foot note, reads: Carbon reductions are calculated against a product-specific business-as-usual scenario as modeled by Apple:
1) No use of clean electricity for manufacturing or product use, beyond what is already available on the latest
modeled grid (based on regional emissions factors). 2) Apple’s carbon intensity of key materials as of 2015 (our

And the answer is: both! This is awesome. Even if we change handles, the mentions should not be broken! This is quite awesome, because it can survive even us renewing domain names (and people eventually dying), so it's a really forever-archiveable format.

Borg and the magic of not storing the same thing twice. Although to be fair it took 20 minutes for borg to index the file (on a Marvel Armada with 1GB RAM)

A screenshot of a borg summary for a backup, stating that this archive would have required 577 GB (214 GB compressed) but only 1GB was stored due to the rest being deduplicated from former archives already present in the system. All archives would be 346TB in size, 109TB compressed but only require 653GB in total. The backup took 4 hours to be made, but there is a time difference of 20 minutes from the time of the file and Borg's "time(start)", meaning that it took the system 20 minutes to index the already existing backups.

Oh don't mind me, just putting this closure inside this function with a lifetime, six generics and two mutable references. I also have no idea whether this is good or bad Rust.

An async function written in rust, named relay_data taking a lifetime parameter a, and six lifetime parameters, named TR, TW, CR, CW, TG and CL. The first and second pairs are pairs of AsyncRead+Unpin and AsyncWrite+Unpin+Debug respectively, and the last two are of a custom trait SocketWithAddr taking the lifetime a, and each of the pairs respectively, to construct a pair of sockets. The variables are &self, server_socket as a mutable reference to TG and client_socket as a mutable reference to CL. It returns a result of void or error, and inside there is an async copy_with_abort function taking two generics, R and W which are respectively AsyncRead and AsyncWrite, and an abort broadcast receiver. Was it fun to read all this alt? Hope it was not too long.
