The first has a ring of trees around the camera: perhaps this is set in mid-copse. The sun can be seen in the lower right, causing the trees in that quadrant to be silhouetted, while trees in the opposite quadrant are well lit.

I’ve decided to read R. U. R., the play by which we obtained the word “robot” in pop culture. Given the word’s Czech roots as slave, I’m concerned. Also, the translation I’m reading uses “robotess” for gynoid, which might be horrifying, depending how, um, racially coded this is.

These look nested: either a number are resting directly on top of each other, or these are more conical with more tiers.

Each of these images was generated by Dall-E 3. They pretty much depict their prompt: a pair of anthropomorphic rabbits roasting meat over a fire near a tree.

This one appears to be at night, with smaller, normal rabbits sniffing around the fire in addition to the anthropomorphic ones.

An evening scene. The rabbits have large forks/pokers to tend the fire, while the meat roasts on a spit.

Much taller fire, with the food practically on the wood. Also, many arrows about the scene, possibly with one of the rabbits impaled. A shadowy figure holding what appears to be a halberd lurks behind the tree.

The meat, in this image, appears to be supported by pegs coming off the tree, which is a bit weird.

So much code is written using anthropomorphic language, and not just only the object-oriented stuff. It’s useful as an abstraction to simplify thinking about the processes the machine is performing. It’s stilted and weird (like GOP levels of weird) to avoid that sort of language.

We’ve been anthropomorphizing computers for decades. Well before they had anything that even remotely approximated human behaviors. One of my first computing memories, ipof: The Print Shop, on the Apple II, used a Tron-esque screen while printing, and would occasionally show “THINKING”.
