I’ve decided to read R. U. R., the play by which we obtained the word “robot” in pop culture. Given the word’s Czech roots as slave, I’m concerned. Also, the translation I’m reading uses “robotess” for gynoid, which might be horrifying, depending how, um, racially coded this is.

I think folk who listen to country, and especially who like country, are really weird. While there’s some defense for pre-90s stuff, after 9/11 the entire genre became Republican propaganda. It’s intrinsically sterile and offensive. I wouldn’t willingly inflict it on my senses.

This one appears to be at night, with smaller, normal rabbits sniffing around the fire in addition to the anthropomorphic ones.

An evening scene. The rabbits have large forks/pokers to tend the fire, while the meat roasts on a spit.

Much taller fire, with the food practically on the wood. Also, many arrows about the scene, possibly with one of the rabbits impaled. A shadowy figure holding what appears to be a halberd lurks behind the tree.

The meat, in this image, appears to be supported by pegs coming off the tree, which is a bit weird.

We’ve been anthropomorphizing computers for decades. Well before they had anything that even remotely approximated human behaviors. One of my first computing memories, ipof: The Print Shop, on the Apple II, used a Tron-esque screen while printing, and would occasionally show “THINKING”.

The first does wonderful things with the trees, causing them to stretch and distort out into a black blob at the top. Vertical striations proliferate around the edges of the image.

This looks like a brush was stroked upward, like in a Bob Ross painting, causing parts of the image to fuzz up. Very noticeable on the roof of the cabin and on the tops of the trees behind.

Warbled effects, like badly distorted vhs tape, distort the trees, most in the upper right of the image. Hints of red, possibly some chromatic aberration, thread through these distortions.

Mostly upward, fuzzy brush stroke distortions along the tops of trees. The reflections in the water beneath the cabin are also nicely striated.
