Suns are just way too small without KD. Can’t hang with any team that has big wings unless they’re shooting 40% from three

sreekar @sreeky.bsky.social · 16/11/2024

Yeah he’s clearly not comfortable yet with the balance of self creating vs passing out to the perimeter and is defaulting to the latter to fit the system for now

020

sreekar @sreeky.bsky.social · 16/11/2024

The key for Book this season is finding the right balance between fitting in and fitting out. I’m sure he’ll start shooting over 30% on catch and shoot 3s but can he increase his drive rate and get deeper in the paint or even short midrange before he picks up his dribble to make the “right” play?

0220

sreekar @sreeky.bsky.social · 16/11/2024

All of this matches the eye test. He’s picking up his dribble early and looking to pass way more than ever before, clearly trying to fit into Bud’s new system to trust and get data on his teammates. At some point he’ll start looking for his own shot more like he does every year. I’m not worried

2320

sreekar @sreeky.bsky.social · 16/11/2024

I think what’s going on with Devin Booker is pretty simple. He’s attempting a career low rate of his shots at the rim and near career low attempts from midrange. His self-created attempts are at their lowest since his rookie year. And he’s only shooting 34% on 3s, including 30% on catch and shoot 3s
