Ugh, I meant Pattie Gonia, but could not for the life of me pull her name at that moment 🙄 This is such a demure and artistic photo I just found while I was searching 🧡

Pattie Gonia as a tree: red curls flowing down, brown clad tree branch arms outstretched, regal drag tree with glowing trunk garments, silhouetted with radiant sunlight and blue sky behind. Goddess

Made up a modified dirty rice and chicken recipe today. I’m not mad. Eat it, or don’t. I do not really care, kids.

Browned chicken thighs resting on dirty rice with black beans, topped with garden chives, fresh outta the oven. Eat it or don’t. I do it really care.

Yall. I got some free roots last spring, and today I harvested (meager, sure) my first rhubarb! Don’t everyone rush me for pie all at once, please 🌱

Three large and several tiny sprigs of rhubarb on the counter. Red stalks with the most beautiful green leaves. I grew this.

Transplanted all the free carrots and beets I got from Spencer’s. Taught the littles how to thin/transplant and rewarded them with a sacrificial feast.

Three hands—one with a small wrist tattoo (it’s a purple skittle with an A that needs retouched), and one with a green sleeve and peeling black nail polish on the thumb—each holding a baby purple carrot. Nom nom. Retails for $4.99 at your local organic market,

Just remembered I have Colorado peach and apricot pits from last year that have sprouted. Think I’ll plant them and give a couple to my step dad tomm. Only one that I planted outside germinated, but it looks happy!

Volunteers this year- onion, sage and either a peach or apricot tree.

Holding myself accountable to trust the process. Layer two. Found some Prussian Blue but def need better brushes.

Cheap canvas lying on faded grey porch steps covered in white and blue acrylic atop underlayers of purple and green…rounded white textures with the hint of a mountain scene coming out- highly stylized at this point.

First paint fun in years. Underlayer laid out. Cheyenne mountain and America’s mountain lend good sky vibes.

Small shitty canvas using purple, white and green paint to lay undertones of mountains and sky. First of a work in progress, sitting against the kitchen wall.

The triangle reflections on the triangle houses in the suburbs beg me to paint them.

Row of identical beige houses with triangular roofs, punctuated by triangular shadows spun by the sun.
A Sky is mild periwinkle with a few floating clouds.
Dried pampas grass at far right of frame.
Fence, to separate.
I want to paint it.

Alright gardeners, biologists and arborists: how do I proceed with these lovely gems? They’ve spent the winter in a dark closet.

20 years ago today my first wise child and babygirl was saved by a hairy chested, gold chain wearing pediatric neurosurgeon. Hours of brain surgery to pluck a peach sized tumor from a five year old’s cerebellum, and she’s still here! Rejoice with me, it’s ALIVE DAY!

Last night I heard on public radio that Bobby Weir went to school for a year at Fountain Valley, which I drive past every day. This morning, as we drove past, we were blessed with a beautiful sight. 🎶 Sometimes you get shown the light, in the strangest of places, if you look at it right…

Bright gold and red sunrise starting to creep under a blue sky set amongst a pastoral scene of trees in the distance, rolling hills covered with snow, and one bare deciduous tree in foreground. An auspicious sight.
