Just another twentysomething trans woman trying to survive upon this hellish Earth. She/Her.

Was not expecting to catch a stray and get bullied by transsexual women for using a Canon camera when I sat down to listen to this episode today. Sure they're prone to developing "Canon cough" but you can fix that with a used E shot needle and some Walkman oil, which IMO is extremely transsexual.

Reminds me of the puppet spiders from a LN I read years ago, just scaled up.
A two-page spread from the light novel "So I'm a Spider, So What?" depicting four girls with visible doll joints and six-armed shadows. The caption reads:
"Puppet Taratect Sisters
Monsters colloquially known as "puppet spiders." Though they are spider monsters they disguise themselves in humanoid dolls and operate the limbs with thread, wielding power approaching that of a legendary-class monster. Highly skilled fighters, they wield weapons with their six arms and can even use magic. Their true body is a palm-size spider in the center of the doll; as long as the spider itself is unharmed, the puppet can take any amount of damage, making them exceptionally tough in battle. They originally looked like mannequins, but thanks to remodeling, they have begun to bear a close resemblance to humans. They also now have the names Ael, Sael, Riel, and Fiel, and they hone their femininity with each passing day."

I've gotten lucky with being able to track down the service manuals of some of my old Walkmans and other tape equipment, but the fundamental fact that specialized ICs and such are no longer produced and were never available for external sale makes finding certain parts all but impossible

I got to see them live in Nashville last month and it was damn near a religious experience. Seeing as they've announced another "three nights, three acts" show in Dallas already, I hope they'll bring the tour to the Midwest (maybe even the Twin Cities; there were a LOT of MN protofans at Nashville)

The whale hunters in Beyond Citadel. All bullets in that game are projectiles with finite velocity, so you'd have a moment to dodge after hearing the crack of a gunshot echo across the map. You'd then note the smoke trail and then either close the gap or try to countersnipe with your own whalegun

I fixed my camera's squeaky mirror "Canon cough" by injecting it with Walkman oil that may or may not contain trace amounts of estradiol valerate and human blood. This absolutely has to be some sort of tgirl stereotype bingo

looking at the blog post for the original version of the diy electrolysis setup and uhhhhh women really *can* do anything.
What I built for a first attempt was extremely crude. I connected the needle to a potentiometer, which was used for approximate current limiting, and then to a car battery. I also inserted a current meter into the circuit so I could monitor things. For the other electrode I used a pop can. Grabbing the can would complete the circuit and start the flow of electricity. One side effect of this is that I could loosely tune the current by how hard I squeezed the can. Squeezing harder would lower the resistance slightly and allow more current to flow.

This is what the result of my efforts looked like:
[photo of a bunch of wires connecting a multimeter, soda can, and car battery]

I'll admit that it doesn't look like the safest contraption in the world. I would watch the current meter and time it by counting seconds to work out roughly the amount of lye generated. Once I got to the target, I'd let go of the can. As janky as this was, I was able to successfully use it to remove some hair from my arm! This was a euphoric moment where I realized this project was going to work. The follicle that came out was enormous - it reminded me of epilation, except it came out with absolutely no resistance.

Duane: I suppose they must, and in the end, we'll all be inmates of the abbatoir, racing each other to the peak of a pile of corpses!

L: Aye, wax righteous when you're behind these walls training boys. Patrol with me some night. See the dissidents breeding like rats. Didn't you smell them roasting on your way in? That heathen militia is trying to sneak Crescian Mercenaries into the city. We are done if we lose power.

D: I tell you if we must bring harm to one innocent... intentionally kill even one innocent to keep all this intact... If we must, Lemuel, then I no longer understand what any of it means.Panels from the webcomic Unsounded:

Lemuel: Ah. This I recognize. The old hollow virtue. The old toothless indignation. Maybe you are Duane. Grand man for speeches. But when time came to live the word how he shrank from threats to his tender... sensibilities. Well, there aren't pages enough in Ssael's writing nor Gefendur scripture nor even the goddamned book of Duane Adelier to detail all that's been lost to the tender sensibilities of weak men.
