This dovetails nicely with my pet theory that civilization started when a monkey made a hat out of a coconut and the rest of the monkeys thought it was funny, so they just kept sarcastically one-upping each other.

Neat how globalized capitalism has largely blunted the sort of worker-led revolutions predicted by Marx by providing affordable luxuries to the middle classes in the metropoles, but that AI and automation bros seem hellbent on removing as many beneficiaries as possible. Absolutely insane hubris.
