"Moderate" (Right-Wing) Democrats' Plan for 2028: Hint: It is roughly the same plan since 2016.
A Black & White still from the show Crazy Ex Girlfriend, with Greg in a tuxedo singing, "Settle for me"

Black Text on a white background of the poem Tired, by Langston Hughes.

I am so tired of waiting,
Aren't you,
For the world to become good
And beautiful and kind?
Let us take a knife
And cut the world in two-
And see what worms are eating
At the rind.

@booker.senate.gov only gets performatively upset the way a flourish distracts you during a trick. Check *HIS* site for mentions Congo or Sudan pre-2023 (google site search) shows nearly nothing on Sudan and 2 strongly worded letters for the Congo. He's been in office since 2013 and is full of it

If Gavin Newsom ends up the Republican nominee in '28, it would be a return to traditional values for the Republicans, but the Democrats wouldn't know what to do with themselves. Also really funny since the conservative Dems ran around hysterically demanding everyone swear fealty to him weeks ago

Times are tough, this reaction of a vocal coach hearing Toad's rendition of 'Chandelier' made me laugh harder than I have in a while.

youtube.com/shorts/DNdVV... No one is going to convince me that Mamdani didn't do this on purpose because if 5/5 boroughs agreed with him, someone was going to have to see a psychiatrist.
Electoral map of the NYC race showing only Staten Island going for Cuomo, and the other four going to Mamdani.

Quick intro to Sydette's amazing "Baby has hat" from a talk she did in 2018!
"I learned at the hands of old West Indian church ladies: . . . my fundamental strategy at this point is called "Baby Has Hat." Does baby have hat? If baby does not have hat, we give baby hat. If I cannot give baby hat, I need to figure out why baby doesn't have hat. Do I need to sew the hat? Is the transportation wrong? Is somebody standing in the middle of the doorway between me and giving the baby hat? Sometimes making sure the baby has hat means if you are standing in the doorway and I need to shoulder-tackle you to get you out of the way, that might be part of it, but that's not the focus. . . . My focus is, Are we doing the thing we say we care about?"

Defeating fascism requires building broad coalition, but I'm not about to mend fences with untrustworthy people just because they accidentally had a correct take one time See you on the barricades. Other than that, not having a beer with you.

Given the American news over the past 3 weeks, I wonder if Democrats are now able to tell the difference between criticizing the actions of a country's government vs. racist attacks on all of that country's citizens/ethnicity. No particularly strong reason why, just popped into my head 🍉
