TO BE FAIR, I too would be in favour of drivers being held to the same level of account as cyclists. Which is to say, if you build a car as light and slow as an e-bike, I think you should be able to drive it with the same lax rules as e-bikes. Yes, I am mostly thinking of the one Clarkson barely fit
Jeremy Clarkson inside a blue 1964 Peel P50, a car so tiny it's closer to a suit of armor than to most cars. So tiny, he could drive it around inside the show's offices.

That's what he always looked like in the old games too. Considering Infinite Wealth introduced a whole Crazy Taxi inspired minigame shortly after Ichiban adopts that attire, I wouldn't be surprised if his clothes were inspired by my guy.

The one minor degree of it that I do find weird, is just how alien the concept of racism and oppression supposedly is to the Guardians when... I mean, Krypton explicitly wanted to run a racially stratified dictatorship in this continuity, and Supergirl showed slave raids. Guardians really must be:

People keep bringing this up, but I don't think the ones who dislike Star Trek having a full on Muppet episode would really be swayed by it being on Lower Decks. Sort of how M'Ress being in TAS would still make a lot of people unhappy about a Cats (2019) looking character in a wig and onesie.
M'Ress, in all her 1970s animated catgirl glory.

For a moment I thought those were the guys from Tinker, Tailor, Doctor, Spy. A lot of the fanboism does feel a lot like people seeing the guy's delusions of grandeur and believing they're unironically real, along with the Photonic Cannon (coming, fairly confidently, by the end of next year).

Hm, yes I suppose that makes sense. Ah, but just more thing. If these things are not supposed to be eaten green, why is there a clearly well lit and composed almost certainly marketing image (to which you're replying) demonstrating them harvested and sliced for consumption while they're green?
Image from the TV series "Columbo", where the titular character stares just off camera quizzically next to their parked car.

Like, the thing I love about Dark Souls multiplayer is that its shitheels actually contribute to the art. When someone can choose to be overly agressive, fuck you up, exploit the environment, but they choose instead to help or at least be honourable and duel, it means something when they do.
Partial quote from Aldia, Scholar of the First Sin from the Scholar of the First Sin edition of Dark Souls 2: "Men are props on the stage of life, and no matter how tender, how exquisite... A lie will remain a lie. Young hollow, knowing this, do you still desire peace?"

How dare you! Mallatobuck has been slaving away, doing her best to make an enjoyable Life Day celebration for her family even under Imperial rule, all while her husband is off gallivanting around the galaxy and flirting with strange astromechs! Put some respect on her name and the work she put in!
Chewbacca, long distance husband and dad, suggestively showing off his body to R2D2 as a form of establishing dominance in their relationship after forcing a victory in a children's tabletop game under threat of violence; a 'traditional' Wookie courting technique that most today can only excuse via 'it was another time, another galaxy'.

What I want to know is, why is the left sidebar between the middle section and the right side bar according to text select?
Demonstration image, where the start of the text selection is in the middle of Nash's post which occupies the center of the desktop interface of Bluesky, and the end of the text selection is with the "Popular with Friends" button on the right sidebar. Due to the way that the website's code is structured, the entire left sidebar is also text selected, despite visually being completely outside of the area between the two ends of the text selection.

Is 'resting Elder Scrolls face' a thing?
An image of an NPC from the original release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, wherein a character delivers an impassioned speech about how their life's mission is to convert lost souls to the one true faith, while staring past the player with the kind of look one has pulling into a gas station at 7 PM, knowing they can either buy a microwave burrito as their first meal of the day, or get enough gas to make it to their about to be foreclosed apartment next to the railyard.

To be fair, the previous phases were also pretty ambiguous. Like, sure, Phase 1 ended with Avengers. But then if you look it up, the last movie of Phase 2 was Ant-Man, which came after Age of Ultron, and just before Civil War, meaning Phase 3 had Civil War, Infinity War AND Endgame. But it ended on:

To be fair, that entire era of 'Star Trek' also started with federation officers excitedly watching prisoners trying to shank each other in the mess hall, playing buddy with Space Hitler after showing she eats people, and the Federation being proud of having a species enslaved via doomsday button.

They are Englishmen, going to an English soccer game, and yeah, Englishmen are going to know and care about English history more than some clerk in an American Spirit Halloween store labeling costumes. If I as a Hungarian dress up as a Huszár, that doesn't mean I'm cosplaying as a Pole.
Hungarian Huszárs, which are older than and distinct from the famous Polish (Winged) Hussars that most people associate with similar imagery.

I know it's confusing on its face because there's a cross pattern, but those are not necessarily crusader costumes. The red cross or white background is the flag of England, or Saint George who in legend slew a dragon. Knights wearing Saint George's colour describes all of High Medieval England.

The jury's out on it, though most people will say no. Technically, rules are pretty strict on the dress-code, but there is a long and storied history of people breaking the dress-code for one reason or another.

You forget, the Space Shuttle's missions weren't just throwing trash in the sky that will turn to atmospheric dust in a few years. They also had to train crew for each mission, which added to the time it would take for the next mission to be ready. That being said, here's two Discovery missions.

Then again, as a Hungarian I might be predisposed to be okay with it. One of the classic lines of Hungarian cinema is "Hagymát hagymával!", which is the demand of a Nouveau Riche character to be served "Onion with onion!"

You can tell r/truestl is for fake fans, because the background image has a memes put on Skyrim, Cyrodill, Morrowind and the Summerset Isles, but not the Iliac Bay, the true Magnum Opus of Elder Scrolls. Any TES game that censors The Real Barenziah is Anathema!

Star Wars does have a quality to it where a ton of alien designs are really cool looking but they need to stay either in animated form or as cantina cameos with no real focus or dialogue.

Case in point, this is a proposed propaganda flier that the US military was at least planning to use during World War 2 to promote their 'great success'. They can't even pretend this was to 'end the war', so the napalm strikes just get memory holed.

There genuinely seems like there was a reverse uncanny valley in video game visuals, where the tech got to a point where you could start making things with a lot of style in 3D, but the 8-bit era was recent enough that no one expected things to have to look overly detailed.

Some people's brains really work like: "Man, the amount of money you'd need to buy all these protestors is so absurd it almost makes me think they can't exist... Which means clearly there is a secret group even richer than me I must get richer to meet!"
