The craziest part of A'ja Wilson's dominance is that it's not like other players have flattened their growth behind her. The game has only GROWN, and so many players have improved their game to try to catch up with her. But she keeps dominating.

And there goes my STM. So sad I used to be able to support both them & Liberty in person, now it's not feasible 😢

my only contribution is this: whatever your take and however much discourse you want to dive into, stop calling this 'the balogun situation' and making him the face of it. the corruption happened around him, he didn't ask for any of this. center the people doing the corruption, not the player.

folks seem jazzed about yesterday's libraries exec budget news. HOWEVER, we at @nycplan.org are not thrilled. it is still 97 million dollars short on @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social's campaign promise... 0.5% for libraries. he only restored the cut HE made in Jan. budget is basically the same as last yr
NYC PUBLIC PLANI LIBRARY ACTION NETWORK

Statement on Mayor Mamdani's City Budget

Today, Mayor Mamdani released his Executive Budget for FY27. NYC PLAN is disappointed to see that it was $97 million short of his promise to fund libraries at 0.5% of the city expense budget. We will have a more detailed statement in the coming days. In the meantime, please follow NYC PLAN on social media to get plugged into our work.

The fight isn't over. No more broken promises!

I wrote a plea. Black women are being killed by Black men at alarming, epidemic rates. We have to stop this. Us. Black men. We have to. andscape.com/features/bla...

Dear Black men, we’re killing Black women - Andscape
Do you understand why Black women fear us, my brother? Look around at the violence of Justin Fairfax — and the way some of us reacted to it.

"It was an embarrassing display of petulance from a legendary coach, and he somehow made it even worse in a meandering postgame press conference." 💯💯💯💯

This is a man who had his ego bruised, who was personally outcoached during the game and who melted down in a stew of his own self-pity and victimhood because of it. His players played a poor game, there's no getting around it. Staley might have snubbed him -- unintentionally or not -- before tip-off and the refs might have missed some calls during play. But none of that comes close to excusing his behavior. After a season of blowout wins and Big East dominance, Auriemma collapsed at the slightest hint of hardship and challenge.

While the men are laughing at DJT’s misogynist jokes, 2x Olympic gold medalist, 2x PWHL champion & 2x NCAA champion Kelly Pannek is speaking eloquently about Alex Pretti’s death, the power of community, and leadership in groups of people with disparate opinions. WOMEN’S SPORTS >

Between Vini Jr., BAFTA, and the US Men's hockey team, I'm tired as a Black person, as a woman, and as a Black woman. What a week, derogatory.

Laila Edwards made history as the first Black woman to represent the USA at the Olympics. She assists on the tying goal from Hilary Knight to send this game to overtime. Now, she’s the first Black woman to win an Olympic Gold medal with Team USA’s women’s hockey team.

LAILA EDWARDS MAKES BLACK HISTORY DURING BLACK HISTORY MONTH! And the US doesn't win without our hockey niece. It's a shame it's taken until 2026 for us to have a Black player. May we never know that life again.

Allocation by any other name. Making marketability a requirement is a dangerous game to play in a racist sport. But that's my little ol opinion.

Jackie Young had been one of the best guards in the WNBA this season. Her quiet (but not so quiet) evolution has been on full display at the WNBA Finals. My story on the Aces’ star: www.usatoday.com/story/sports...
