Inside her stained-glass celestial observatory, an elderly great shark shows an ancient magic book to two curious child sharks, the book projects an image of a planetarium. The elder woman is stigmatized by something called the "Plague of Tears", in which her eyes are blinded and her tears are crystallized, projecting like jewels into her eyes.

The "Plague of Tears" is a fantasy imagination of the parasite that blinds and hangs in the eyes of Greenland sharks throughout their lives.
