I finished "Butter" by Asako Yuzuki. While I enjoyed the premise, I thought it was too bloated and had too many characters. It made it hard to enjoy until the 45% mark. Good feminist message in the end. 3.5⭐ 💙📚 #booksky #reading #books #horror

My house caught fire. I called the Fire Dept but they refused b/c I don't have fire insurance Sounds absurd right? Meanwhile since Mangione allegedly killed the UnitedHealth CEO, ~6000 people have died due to denied care from insurance corps. Why do we allow it? www.qasimrashid.com/p/americas-h...

Getting old is seeing a HS classmate wish their partner a happy 37th birthday, getting weirded out by the age, then remembering theyre a year older than you, meaning they're 31. It's a perfectly normal age gap. Bruh.

I'm allowed to be angry at seeing people who I've helped and gave to, over and over and over again, in turn give to others when I haven't even gotten a damn card from them. Not a single gift or present in almost 20 years of knowing them. Maybe I'm bitter bc I have nothing today. Not even a tree.

Sara Luna @spookiluna.bsky.social · 23/12/2024

I finished 2 books today, one slightly better than the other. Daphne and Woom. Daphne was mid, Woom was mid, but worse bc it also felt racist once I found out the author is white and wrote the black characters in a really uncomfortable way. Not really going to rec either. #booksky
