9 is just not enough, it took 3 tries to make this list, but King's Quest, the original Sub Logic/ Microsoft Flight sim, a Civ game, Goldeneye and Doug Smith's 1984 Dos port of Lode Runner and it's fantastic level editor should be in there too.
My taste have just been shaped by too many platforms
