According to JD Vance, the pope doesn't know theology. The pope has several related university degrees. JD Vance has none. According to Pierre Poilievre, Mark Carney is poorly educated in economics. Dr. Carney has a PhD in economics from Oxford. PP? None. Dunning-Kruger? Confirmation Bias?

One container (TEU) of LFP battery cells can store and return about 27 000 MWh of electricity over their lifetime- as much as 270 container-sized tanks of diesel fuel. Renewable energy is about reducing GHG and toxic emissions. But it's also about energy security and resilience!

One container of solar panels shipped to Toronto, can generate enough electricity over their lifetime to replace about 42 container-sized tanks worth of diesel fuel (4200 MWh).
An image showing that one container of solar panels (1 TEU) can replace the electricity generated from 42 TEU containers of diesel fuel over their lifetime.

Why can't batteries store more than 4 hrs worth of electricity? Well, they can- but how frequently you cycle them, determines how cheap each kWh returned from storage will be. www.linkedin.com/pulse/why-ca...

Why Can't Batteries Store More than Four Hours Worth of Power?
TL&DR Summary: they can. But the economics of energy storage depend on the application, and no energy storage option makes cheap kWh unless it is used to deliver enough kWh.

Much better, and more likely to make money, if you do what Monolith is doing, and sell a valuable carbon product for $1/kg, than to bury it at any level of subsidy imaginable. And they're within 100 miles of 40% of ammonia users in the USA, so they have a market for their hydrogen already.

First past the post is a disaster. NDP got 2/3 of the votes the Libs got, but twice as many seats. Cons got 80 seats- Greens, in proportion to the popular vote, should have had 8, but got 2. This is a clown show, not an electoral process.
