@rachelbitecofer.bsky.social‬ VERTIGO SELF TREATMENT. I read your problem in the sub stock but am unable to reply there as I don't subscribe. I hope you have someone who can read this to you, even over the phone. Or use text to speech, if reading is awful right now.

Communicate in few single syllable words. They don’t yet accept price increases as predictable result of DJT. Many faithful assume DJT himself must not have known about it. (3) Level 201 lesson: no, it won’t benefit them/US in long run. Explain Tariffs basics, retaliatory trade wars, if poss. (2/3)

🧵 How to teach DJT devotees to learn from painful results of EOs. FAFO not automatic unless cause/effect understood. (1) Identify specific painful fact (egg $ ; rx $ uncapped; upcoming $ hike from tariffs.) (2) Unless understood it results from DJT orders, pain won’t challenge allegiance. (1/3)

Schrodinger's Equal Rights Amendment? I'm extremely grateful to Pres. Biden for doing this. This article by a Constitutional Law scholar cites precedent and Const'l text explaining why this must be considered a done deal. But we know this won't happen in our current political reality.

Happy Thanksgiving for those who observe it. We can hold in mind positive memories of gathering together--or wistful images not matched by reality--without contradicting the history of grave injustice. All of us need to pace ourselves for what is coming. So...1/2

Another reason to share that T got < 50% of 65% of eligible vote: it heartens anti Fascists in other countries. When I explained Russian/ $$$ obstacles to voting, an EU friend thanked me: We can accept that Americans fought hard and lost, but would cry if we thought most Americans wanted this.

Beauty, gifted to me. My adult son phoned, urgently:"There's a fantastic sunset but you've got to get out literally within 2 minutes or it'll be gone". Growing up, my mother and I would call each other to the window to share the sunset. Tonight, I realized I've passed this on to the next generation.

Photo of sunset. Striated bands of alternating bright orange and pale violet, glimpsed above rooflines and through trees.

How to get through this? I invite yours, but am ready to block agents of chaos. 1) ID one specific cause to make your. Can't hold yourself responsible for tracking every front at once. 2) But network w/ good people working on other key issues to alert you when a specific action is needed). 1/x

“Freedom means you decide who you are, and then when things change around you, you continue to be that person. And in so doing, you do constructive work. You set an example for other people. You meet new people who are also trying to remain themselves.” Timothy Snyder, "On Freedom"

National Popular Vote Interstate Compact most plausible route to popular vote electing POTUS. Have 77%committed, + states passed in only 1 chamber. Vote is state by state; could work on this now. Haven't chkd w campaign since election re strategy. Final push might req having House +Senate again?
