iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Ah, that makes sense! Do you think there's a greater psychological effect other than mental fatigue?

To be clear, I'm not saying I feel like shit after coding with AI all day, but rather skirt the repetition it takes to stay sharp or learn something new. Although AI can be a powerful learning tool.

I do, but I don’t really equate mental exhaustion with exercising your brain.

I’m not sure about psychological after effects, but if the brain is a muscle, it’s getting less exercise.

Legacy pizza that somehow still works.

Insane. Probably coming from some marketing firm somewhere? Bots generating ads? Surely not sanctioned by GH..

Spencer Colaco @spencercolaco.com · 28/12/2025

Wait, was this actually on GitHub or was it a display ad somewhere else?

How would you imagine scaling? I feel like the scope would be 2-3x prefers-reduced-motion.

Cursor rules might work well.

Had another thought on this. I really miss the file organization of Vue’s options API and I try to group logic in my react components by queries, computed values, event handlers, etc. Using these annotations might make that a lot more useful 🤔

I honestly can’t wait. Going to start with Omarchy but can see myself doing a custom Arch setup at some point.

030

I’ve always turned off the mini map, but that is pretty cool.

cmgriffing @cmgriffing.bsky.social · 04/11/2025

Super cool! I’m honestly considering Linux for my PC in lieu of Windows 11. Just can’t bring myself to get on board with where Windows is going (honestly have felt that way for too long).

Chat just informed me that "#region" and "//MARK:" can be used to annotate the minimap in VS Code.

Well, tinted mode is definitely and improvement.

000

Ya part of me feels like sometimes I consider things that end up not being relevant for me at all. I’m not a irl Twitch streamer 😂

000

You know I almost grabbed an air but wasn’t sure about the battery life. How’s it for you?

100

Getting happier with my lock screen. Mostly because of that background I found haha

Just an absolute wild decision from Apple.

@fnhipster.com definitely doesn’t pass color contrast with my background haha

Most companies have similar business needs for their software, but not all needs are met equally IE: Error handling. Critical for biz needs. Yet so many companies I've seen absolutely neglect it. Why? Not enough engineers focusing on that discipline Get good at that stuff and you'll be unstoppable

For a basic crud app, you have "must haves", "Nice to haves", and "Polish". In each are different skills, like "Data fetching" or "Remote logging". These skills are differently weighted between how often a company does them and how valuable they are for individuals to have as skills on a team.

My buddy recently broke the GH diff page with like 800+ files completely refactored.

I'm sitting here about to go grab an iPhone 17, but hoping I can customize it _not_ to do this.

When I was a kid, my dad got me this really cool bronze bust of Socrates there. Probably my most prized possession!

Hard to say without doing a survey.

Ive been sending YT links and leaving it up to them to find on other platforms. Even further part of me wants to bring back the “art of the mixtape” where you can send curated playlists to people. But would that be perceived as sending them 10 gifs in a row? Do people care anymore?

Found latest episode of @syntax.fm inspiring. Didn't know @evanyou.me is a self taught programmer and originally wanted to be a designer! youtu.be/quEc5ZI3_Ys?...
